Big_Pants
I won't see the opening ep of Season 4 until I get home from work but feel free to discuss here with all the spoilers you dare to mention!
Nixster
Well I for one hope they have some flash backs to the past year. I'm loving the last minute of episode one so much I screamed noooooo when it finished! Grr. Roll on Monday - it seems so bad that I want it to be Monday.... Big_Pants
Yes I'd LOVE to know exactly what happened during Bill and Sophie-Ann's Matrix style fight and how he became King. Strange things are afoot in Bon Temps. As I reported previously I deepy disliked the opening with the cheapo fairy-land stuff, thankfully it didn't last long. Tara's development is "interesting." She at least seems to have some of her sassiness back. Sam is still a little "off" and although I'm sure it's more interesting for an actor to play different facets of a character I really want old, awesome, reliable Sam back. I still believe he's the man for Sookie when all's said and done.

KatieBoo
She's very anti-Tara and quite anti-Bill, but this lady's reviews always make me giggle..... http://io9.com/5815939/true-bloods-season-...you-from-behind Edited June 28, 2011 by KatieBoo
Charmer
I really enjoyed the first ep, but I agree it'd be nice to see what happend with Bill's fight, which I guess he must have won. Tara has made an interesting turn too, didn't see that coming at all. Can't wait to see next weeks, I think the Sookie/Eric relationship could get interesting this year! ericsdonor
I thought it was fab except for maybe the first 5ish minutes with the fairy stuff, that was just abysmal!!! But King Bill, would definitely like to see how that came about, and Jason as a cop how cute does he look? As for Eric and Sookie, I can't wait to see how that works out especially after that closing scene!!
KatieBoo
I wish they would show it at the US pace over here... they must lose so many potential fans over this Edited June 28, 2011 by KatieBoo

Lady Wolfshead
Have seen the first two episodes Just have to say 'Eric, oh how I have missed you' Punk Bill was hilarious but nice to hear Stephen's Essex accent. Unsure on how some of the characters storylines are going to develop and I agree bring back good old reliable Sam. ericsdonor
I did some googling (prob should've done that first lol) and found it on Channel 131, what a great episode, Eric looks so sweet and vulnerable I really can't wait to see how the rest of this season pans out, although I'm not liking where they're taking Jessica & Hoyt!!! mr_jason_smith
Episode 2 was done as a web broadcast on HBO Go http://www.hbogo.com/ last Sunday after episode 1 aired in the USA. HBO Go is only available in the USA, which is a shame, as I'd pay to use it. An increasing amount of HBO's output are being broadcast like this, it was Game of Thrones the other week. Technically there's nothing to stop this working everywhere, but they are bound by the +7 months FX UK licensing deal they have in place for True Blood in the UK. The TV aired stuff is available as .avi's which can be played directly on ps3 and many dvd blu ray players as well as Mac/PC. The web broadcast stuff is quite new and many of the rips of that is very bad quality. There's a .flv of episode 2 that plays really well using the VLC player on Mac/PC. :-) Jason
CosmicAvatar
Thanks for the info. Nice for them as can get it. So long as it airs next Sunday on US TV, I can wait, although I guess I'd better stay out of this thread if there are going to be web broadcast spoilers in here... *resists temptation to read more spoilers*
jcangel
Are HBO Go web broadcasting every episode a week early? If so then I had better avoid this thread too as I am going to be a week behind as I wait for the .avi files.
mr_jason_smith
No, they seem to be doing the odd episode or 2 for each HBO series they have on the go. Game of Thrones had one web broadcast a week early in it's series run. I guess they're doing it to up subscription numbers. Jason
MjCullen
I watched Episode 1 and 2 on Monday and wow!! This season is off to such a good start already!! Punk Bill was hilarious and i couldn't help but laugh! And then memory loss Eric... oh i need to see more! The trailer for episode 3 is on youtube and oooh it looks even better!!!! PS: I personally use Real Player to watch the FLV files
xlorix
Just watched the first two episodes and WOAH so so glad my precious T B is back on screen!!! First ep I was abit "hhmmm" (well the last minute of it was good) the 2nd ep, FAB!! will be interesting to see what happens with Arlenes evil baby, and as has been said loved punk Bill! And Jason at the end I haven't read the books (have a long LONG list to get through before I get to them) but knew about the Jason bite bit as have a few signed books at home and that's one of them. However part of me doesn't really want to read them, as I love the tv series so much and I don't want to ruin it for myself I'm one of these that goes "well that's not what happens in the book" at EVERY screen adaptation, and I kinda don't want to do that with TB.... QueenVee
Yeah im like 'that doesn't happen in the book' all the time but ive tried not to do it any more because obviously they want to make it different so its not an exact copy from book to screen. I hope they do explore the Eric & Sookie relationship properly and Jason does get bitten by the panthers but other than that a lot of of story lines are all over the place. Really interested to see what the deal is with Arlene's baby ! Not really wanting Andy to be on V because I loved his character for being the brutally honest/trying to do what's best comic relief. The witches are very interesting. It will also be funny to see how crafty they try and make Bill.
ericsdonor
I want to hang my head in shame cos I'm really liking Bill so far this season when I've hated him the past 3 seasons, I think it's a power thing!!!!

jcangel
Episode 2 was a lot better than episode 1. Can't wait for episode 3 now. I actually like the route they have taken with Bill's character, gives him a good reason for sticking around as, let's face it, there was no way they were going to remove Stephen Moyer from the show. Big_Pants
I have to agree, Bill is proving to be awesome in Season 4. Brilliant. Anyone else wanting to slap the hell out of Crystal?
jcangel
I have to agree, Bill is proving to be awesome in Season 4. Brilliant. Anyone else wanting to slap the hell out of Crystal? ME I don't like her character in the books either, so she was never fgoing to be a favourite of mine. Got to say though they have made her even more creepy and loopy than the book character, so much easier to dislike. It's been a while since I read the book but I didn't think she was behind Jason's kidnapping?
