Personally, i shake the guests hand and then i f luck, i get to pose with a pic beside them, arm on shoulder, no-one has ever seemd to mind. It's pretty rare, I've not known it happen all that often. One I remember was because the female guest was "goosed" near the start of the shoot and so ask for no touching after that. And yes the "gooser" was ejected with a vengance. The guests being seated in the past has just been a personal preference or nessesaty on their part. Not usally anything to do with touching. Didn't get one myself but saw them on the table, he was really playing up to the camera, with people pretending to punch him in the face and him pretending to be getting knocked out. That was touching of all kinds, and he didn't seem to mind, and he's the one person I thought would be a complete prima donna and not have anyone near him. Fair play to him, he proved me wrong! It's not the whole 'hover' - that does look a bit silly - but I can sympathise with people who try to be (perhaps overly) polite in these situations. Tina197 Posted June 16, 2011 Share Posted June 16, 2011 I've not had any photoshoots before (mainly coz I've not been to these events since '06) but in general photos I have always put an arm around the guest and I've never once had any say "please no touching" or anything, and they certainly never said no to hugs, so my answer would be no, it's not something I do.
