loyden
I just got another promotion mail from the Thistle. Normally they aren't relevant but this one was a bit cheaper than the con rate. A bit typical seeing as I booked the Sheraton and cancelled the Thistle only last week but I'm happy to try the Sheraton this time. Thistle room for £74 including breakfast
Beccaasp!
At least the Thistle prices are starting to go down, but I am also staying at the Sheraton which doesnt compare really as I paid around £131 for 3 nights, works out at nearly £46 per night but i dont get breakfast included (which doesnt bother me as i cant eat early in the morn). If anyone needs a hotel still best thing to do is try some websites that offer deals.

Blackviolett
The Thistle would need to have VERY cheap prices for me to stay there again. it may be convenient but its way over priced for what it is. Last year we did the Lodge which was £24 per night each and was cheap and cheerful. This year were at the Sheraton which is 4 star and weve paid £154 for 3 nights in a Queen sized room with no breakfast (I cant eat early in a morning either so not bothered). I always use Laterooms.com and get some great rates on there.
RageMe
Well I have just saved myself £70, originally booked for 2 nights at the beginning of the year on the hotels website it was going to cost me £199 to stay at the thistle just cancelled it as I have just used laterooms.com and they only charged £129.26 for a twin room (£64.63 a night)

loyden
Hi Numfar. That sounds like its pretty much the deal i got when i booked in January. shame you arent staying there again. I'll hopefully be spending large amounts of time around the Thistle anyway To be honest I don't mind the Thistle, but its not worth the money to stay there in its own right. The convenience of it being where the con is held is worth loads, and great company at breakfast is awesome too !! but not much else I'm really looking forwards to seeing you again !! Roll on Friday
