Anyone read the ideas for Helloween? Michael Myers + Pinhead? I dunno if that was made up or whatever but .. what's every1 think?

I think Michael Myers would be my favourite to join Freddy n Jason cuz Halloween was great .. I must admit I wasn't sure how Jason and Freddy would mix but I think it worked really well, and I wouldn't be against Michael being there too.

It seems a bit odd.

I can just about come to terms with the whole Freddy V Jason thing

That does kind of work.

But to match up Michael Myers in a "fight" with another horror character seems weird. He is not that kind of horror character.

He always strikes me as the kind of quiet intellectual of the horror bunch.

Obviously freddy would enjoy a punch up, cos he can reel out his banter.

And Jason has turned into this kind of laughable killing machine (not particularly my opinion but I get the impression off others that they feel he is).

It may work with ASH V FREDDY

But, to me it kinda ruins the whole appeal of the characters.

Just my opinion though.

And I havent seen FREDDY V JASON.

Also how would it work with pinhead v Michael Myers.

Michael myers started off being a sort of psychotic killer yet pinhead is more of a supernatural "being".

Although they did tag on the whole "supernatural, he cant be killed" thing to Michael Myers in the other films.

What do you guys think?

Am I just being a boring bosom?! :D

lol I think the thing with Freddy is that he obviously has always had this personality, and so can carry the other 'characters' no matter how much they can talk or not talk etc .. personally I'd like to see Freddy vs Michael so that Freddy cud kill Jamie Lee Curtis lol :D I didn't think it'd work with Jason cuz he was different from Freddy but I think they did a great job, considering some of the crap movies there have been in the past from both series. So if Freddy vs Jason worked, then perhaps a decent idea could be produced for Pinhead and Michael Myers .. I do like both of them, and personally I don't think the latest Halloween movies have been very good, so they may need something to spice them up - I haven't seen the latest Hellraiser movies (7 and 8 I think?) so I'm not quite sure how they're going.

The thing is though, Michael doesnt talk, so there wouldn't be much banter between them.

But then I guess Jason doesnt talk either!

Should I see Jason V Freddy then?

Is it ok?

I have to admit I rather enjoyed Jason X. It wasnt scary, it would'nt win any prizes!

But it was very entertaining!

I liked Jason X ... the good thing about it was they realised what they'd turned the franchise into, accepted that, and just made a fun movie! I know it wasn't scary but the F13th series is beyond being popular cuz it's scary, the fans wanna see Jason kill ppl in cool ways! Just like Freddy became an icon, and so Freddy vs Jason is worth seeing if ur a fan of either franchise .. I think Freddy is great in it, the storyline works, and neither is made to look weak really ... it's probably the best movie from either series for a long time!

I've got all the NOES, F13th and Halloweens on dvd ... the original F13th is good, I did get scared by the ending! And Friday 2 is cool cuz it's the first real Jason one ... and of course Friday 3 where Jason finally gets his mask! I have to be ashamed of my liking for Part 8 where he's in Manhattan just cuz I like the scene where he sees a hockey mask on a sign or something, it always makes me laugh for some odd reason lol My favourite NOES are the first, part 3 and part 7 (Wes Craven's New Nightmare) .. so yeah, all the ones that Wes Craven actually did! .. all the others are ok, apart from Part 2 which was just crap lol Such a disappointment considering the first one! Although part 6 was crap and commercialised. Only F13th I never really liked was Pt 9 - Jason Goes To Hell, that always seems stupid to me.

Ash is in the Evil Dead trilogy :headscratch:

Hmmm Pinhead VS Leatherface cud be interesting .. although I'd want it to be a scarier and more violent horror rather than a comedy - they ruined Leatherface in most movies after the original TCM as far as I'm concerned, while Pinhead has never really been overused in Hellraiser movies - but now they've done a good TCM remake/new interpretation, I think they've got a good basis for working on another movie.

The whole Pinhead Vs Michael Myers debate is over now. According to Moustapha Akkad it will never happen. Apparently Dimension wanted to go this way after Freddy Vs Jason succeeded, but Moustapha and his son Malek (who own the rights to Michael Myers) refused to let the character to exploited in this way. Many fans, myself included, believe this would have been the definitive nail in the Halloween coffin (it was almost all over after Halloween Resurrection). However, Moustapha assurred me and many others at the Halloween Con in Pasadena last year that Michael will be back on track very soon, and that they hope to have Halloween 9 out by the end of 2004.

What do you think they need to do to get Halloween back to what it is capable of being?

Me as a writer/director lol!

Seriously I have written a treatment and I am waiting for Daniel Farrands (writer of H6) to get back from shooting his new project so that we can discuss it.

I do have some plans for old Mikey, but they will have to wait until my new film are written.

i see where youre going with that, but to be honest theres not really many horror films that are actually scary, especially if you're a horror fan like we are, theyre just good to watch.....d u c wot i mean?

Yeah of course, I was never really scared by em - I just mean like the characters themselves, Pinhead and Leatherface, were never meant to be funny .. not like Chucky or Freddy for example  so if they were to do a Pinhead and Leatherface one, I'd like it to be sick! lol
