Well you're talking to someone who has just come back from the biggest Halloween event in the world, and has toured the filming locations and even set foot in the Myers House. Probably number one fan of the film on these forums, it is definitely my favourite film of all time. Besides, without the success of Michael Myers and Halloween there would be no Friday the 13th series, and possibly no Nightmare on Elm Street. It is widely regarded among critics and academics alike that Halloween set the ball rolling for many of the slasher genre. I don't mind that you prefer Freddy and Jason more, just that you have a little more respect for Michael Myers and his fans please.
