This will be my first SM/ME con and I was wondering if people generally stick to themes or if I would get away with my Merlottes waitress costume on the Friday night? I don't know if it will be seen as a bit strange since it's a Whedon con? I don't actually have any Whedon costumes apart from Saffron (which I can't do now as I no longer have red hair!) and Fray (which I can't do because I have no way of getting my weapons there safely!) I only just decided on my Halloween costume at the weekend... now I just need to start making it! I'm doing Oz's 'costume' from Fear Itself - the hardest part is, of course, finding/creating Oz's normal clothes...
