dazzlerjames
Nice to see City come down to Earth with a bump - they're starting to act like their rivals in believing there is a divine right to win everything!! What do people think about the whole Tevez thing? - If he refused to come on then personally I'd withhold his wages and stick him in the reserves to rot! What do people think about the whole Tevez thing? - If he refused to come on then personally I'd withhold his wages and stick him in the reserves to rot! Seeing as Mancini refuses to say what was discussed, and only three people know, to withhold wages will be illegal and open City up to major problems. I personally think that Mancini felt the heat and didn't like it and took it out on Tevez. If they sack him or give him cause to sue, then selling him will be impossible. They need to simmer down and sell in January. Seeing City come down to earth was almost as fun as seeing Everton and Spurs learn harsh lesons in Europe!! Breaking News: Tevez suspended for two weeks. Mancini to talk with owner tomorrow. Edited September 28, 2011 by Simondo

Trouble is if they sack him then next week he'll be playing for someone else. City have had a disiplinary problem for a while now! Which harsh lesson are you talking about? BigSi13
Which harsh lesson are you talking about? Everton - they are not European material. Spurs - The Champions League is hard!
DarknessHayz
Watched the Maibor v Birningham game, have no idea how our goalie managed to mess up though, but can't complain really as we ended up winging 2-1. Just hope Doyle doesn't give goals away like that for a while now! On another note, seeing as Carling are not renewing the contract, for the Carling Cup, who do you think should have the sponsorship deal? Some British company or aboard? nosfer2
Which harsh lesson are you talking about? Everton - they are not European material. I beg to differ - I think we are ideally suited to the Europa League, indeed we were unlucky not to qualify at the end of last season (in any other year one of the big four would have won the cups and the extra place would have gone to us). Generally our results in Europe have been good, indeed the only matches we have lost have tended to be down to dodgy refereeing decisions (e.g. the year we qualified for the Champions League), or to injuries to large numbers of our players (e.g. when we played against Benfica). BigSi13
Man City press conference - all journalists told nto to ask questions who talk about Tevez. Just after this statement the press conference starts. Roberto Mancini .... "he is finished at this club. I am the manager". D'oh!
BigSi13
Dear My Moyes... 1. Studs up = Red Card 2. More money doesn't mean more talent, but in Liverpool's case it does 3. You lost. Much Love Liverpool FC Fan!
nosfer2
Second game in a row where dodgy refereeing has lost us a game. Rodwell won the ball. If Gerrard had made the same tackle he would not have been sent off; in fact the ref probably would have awarded him a free kick! Edit: The Fast Show's Simon Day just tweeted "never a red card for rodwell, nothing wrong with that"; he just confirmed he is a neutral, which lends credence to my point of view. Playing for 70 minutes of 11 against 10 completely changes the dynamics of the game!

Playing for 70 minutes of 11 against 10 completely changes the dynamics of the game! I feel you are selling your team short. Everton played excellently and could well have won it. Reina made numerous saves yesterday. I would very well agree with you if Liverpool had overrun Everton, but Everton were fighting until the end. When Liverpool went down to 9 men, Spurs slaughtered them. But yesterday Liverpool got two goals that were poachers goals. Howard saved a penalty. Even Moyes has since said that Everton would have gotten something out of the game if they had slotted away some of their chances. The person who saved Liverpool was Pepe Reina. nosfer2
I'll have to take your word for it as I didn't get to see the game (I've been at the Entertainment Media Show all weekend). The only thing I've seen is the tackle.

BigSi13
So, Leyton Orient think they have "won" after the deal for the West Ham purchase of the Olympic Stadium fell through. Don't cheer too loud as West Ham are to bid for being a tenant there!!
timelord81r
One decision does not make a game. lol, unless its against ya! ;-) the rodwell red was crazy, when the contact was made rodwells foot was on the deck and the contact was with his other knee which was bent not the foot that WON the ball and hit the deck before the pool player made contact., NEVER a straight red, very harsh. and wasnt it over turned later? So, Leyton Orient think they have "won" after the deal for the West Ham purchase of the Olympic Stadium fell through. Don't cheer too loud as West Ham are to bid for being a tenant there!! im behind, whats going on with the Ol stadium? i hear west ham have pulled out and now no one wants it lol meaning the tax payer forks out for what ever work needs doing to re sell it? typical bull s*** we are used to in this country. also did spurs learn a harsh lesson? quarter finals on our first try? thats pretty good in my book! humm. yes it is hard but harsh lesson I think thats a bit of a harsh word, its not like we went out in qualifiers and almost got relegated in the league lol ;-)

I have never seen someone so blind to history. This happens all of the time. Harsh cards are nothing new. As regards Rodwell, in the letter of the law he had studs up and caught the player. That is within the realsm of a Red card. However, I have already agreed that it was harsh. I also went on to say that an Everton fan on here was selling his own club short as they ran Liverpool close even with 10 men. On appeal the Red card was reduced. also did spurs learn a harsh lesson? quarter finals on our first try? thats pretty good in my book! humm. yes it is hard but harsh lesson I think thats a bit of a harsh word, its not like we went out in qualifiers and almost got relegated in the league lol ;-) Who went out in the Qualifiers and almost got relegated? And, I must remind you that you yourself were claiming that Spurs could go all the way. As were many many Spurs fans. The harsh lesson was that they are simply not good enough to win it as you yourself claimed they could. So, Leyton Orient think they have "won" after the deal for the West Ham purchase of the Olympic Stadium fell through. Due to the legal cases brought by Spurs and Leyton Orient, it was taken out of West Ham's hands and the purchase was cancelled by the authorities concerned. Said authorities are now looking for a tenant or tenants. As regards the work needed to turn the stadium into a football stadium with running track was already being paid for by funds set aside in the original cost. So, the "typical bulls***" you talk of is non existant. The cost was confirmed by both Boris and the Legacy Committee some time ago. West Ham have already indicated that they will be bidding to be a tenant.

timelord81r
i think you will find my words were once you get to the semis there is no reason u cant go on and win it and perhaps I said "come on spurs lets go all the way" but never did I say spurs will win it lol, other spurs fans were even before a ball was kicked, crazy! oh red cards, im not saying its not happened before, but doesnt matter, harsh is harsh. and I think all but the big wigs in footie would agree the rules are screwed up. the almost relegated lol, I was having a jokey pop at everton, i maybe wrong but wasnt the season they were in the champs the season they almost got relegated or were down there after finishing 4th? 5th? the year before lol ;-) regard everton in case im attacked, I hate playing everton, they are a bloody hard team to beat! IMO the stadium? blah, couldnt care less until the tax payer starts paying then ill be annoyed, I didnt want spurs to get it and I hope this doesnt mean they will go in for it again. I dont know any spurs fans who wanted it! no thank you!
