I'd be happy if we had a repeat visit from as many of SM previous LOTR guests as possible. When you look down the lists of people they got to attend in the past it was pretty impressive when all was said and done.

McKellen seems fairly certain "The Hobbit" will get made, so I expect SM will wheel a lot of them out again to coincide with it. I'm not convinced though. MGM recently shelved their remake of Red Dawn, which was complete, because they didn't have any money left to promote or release it. I think the only way the Hobbit will get made is if MGM sell off the rights very quickly - and the trouble with that is, MGM have made the sort of noises that indicate they have no intention of selling it.

Same with Bond. I think sooner or later Daniel Craig will walk - which will be a pity, but he's not going to wait 5 years. Quantum Of Solace was a disappointment in my view, but Craig has given the series a kick up the ar$e - will be a shame to lose him. Still, he's 42 now, and there's no way another Bond film is going to start shooting until 2012 at the absolute earliest. Thanks to MGM, at most we'll get one more film out of him.
