I'd seen him at another event just over a month ago, but didn't meet him there, preferring to meet him at Autographica instead. When I first checked the desk was empty as he was on a break. Spoke to his assistant who said the times today had changed as Alex arrived about 12.45pm. He was due to sign to about 3pm. I met him about 2.45, then the next time I looked he was gone. Obviously he's not in the best of health, but he's a real trooper who is trying his best at meeting fans now that he's doing signing shows. He wasn't doing posed photos as his assistant said the getting up and down lots of times would be a problem but we could take a pic from the side as he was signing which was fine. Got a personalised photo, handshake and a few words with him which under the circumstances I was more than happy with.
