Ok, for good points.

I can only compare ET3 to the Proms but:

The main thing that stood out, was the addition of the food court. A lot of people have complained about the food, but it's still a good addition as there is very little around the NEC that isn't very expensive and that is open most of the time.

It was good to have the extra things at the parties, the carnival, bouncy castle etc.

I'll come up with some more when I get a moment

I thought the gold pass reception worked better with the tables this time too.

At ET2, when people stood in groups, there was the possiblity that those groups would split into 2 or 3 and the guests not speak to people.

However, with the tables, at least with ours anyway, the guests said hi to people around the table, and the crew ensured they walked over to quieter people to make sure they were included, I felt it worked very well

The parties were really good. The extra entertainment was well thought out, and the photo op places were really good too, that casino area on Friday was inspired!

Music at the parties? I know people have said that there is repetition, but it did guarantee that people got up and danced, look how busy the dancefloor was Friday and Saturday. To be honest, I didnt even think of asking for music, cos Dom played a bit of everything, but he does play what you ask for, so the option for different music is always there, the board for requests is a great idea (and we utilised it loads at ET2 lol, didnt feel we needed to this time) Plus, he is very approachable and you can chat to him to ask what he has too

Auto queues -I got all of mine on Saturday morning when it was really quiet and three of the queues were empty. I know that Chris' queue was slower, but it was cos he was taking time to chat with the guests which was great.

Plus, it must have been tricky organising Jamies autos as he was leaving earlier, but people had the opportunity to do that Friday evening too which was a really good idea.

I think either Jason or Mark suggested a chill out room for next time? Or perhaps it was someone else, it was quite a few pages ago. I think that would be a great idea, especially for people not staying at the con hotel. That way attendees would get to see each other more, rather than being so spread out throughout the hotel. It could even be a good idea for the evening, not everyone wants the loud music, so perhaps a permanent chill out room, near there would be good, keep everyone together (for social reasons! Not herding like sheep! lol). I know a lot of people expressed that it was hard to find each other, but then, if people need to nip outside, or back to their room, you are not going to see those people then, the rest of the time, I just wandered off to the bar and found people sat chilling in there.

I think the idea of a seating area for the guests at the party is actually a good idea. It could be cordoned off as it was at Proms, to give the guests some privacy, but them still be ""at" the party and visible, but not crowded. They were very friendly and seemed genuinely pleased to be with people, but it is sad that people crowd them. It was nice to see them on the dancefloor though :D

The talks, well, I laughed my socks off at a number of the talks, I didnt actually think they were boring,

Yes, there were gaps, but that is often when the guests just start chatting about something else, like Tinsel did for example. Would she have done that if it had been one question straight after another without breaks etc.

I also know that people have asked that questions be relevant, ie knowing that this was Kiowas first film, but if that was an attendees question, that is not really Pauls fault. People get opportunities to hand in questions over the weekend dont they? Perhaps it was a last minute addtion?

I thought there was a good mix of questions, and I felt we learnt more about the guests through the talks.

Jamies in particular was awesome, and Chris? Well, he was just so funny. Although Kiowa seems quiet and shy, he still made me laugh quite a few times. Tinsel was lovely, and Charlie was funny too.

I always love watching the auction, I dont ever seem to buy anything, but it is really good entertainment to watch :D

Didnt have a photo session or go in the food court this time, so cant comment on that

I like that there is so much room at the hilton for the con. It is nice to have separate rooms for things.

Yes, I like the Park inn too, but they are different, so I dont think they need to be compared. The park inn is fab for smaller cons, but I couldnt imagine a con the size of ET3 there, queueing to get into the talks etc was so much easier at the Hilton, much more space.

Yes, the heating was a nuisance, but I am sure that will be ironed out.

The pool was fantastic!

Breakfast was awesome, I didnt like the second room accross the way, but I understand the need for it. Perhaps the hilton could make it more obvious that you can order the extra items on the menu such as pancakes etc to the people that breakfast in that room.

The Hilton staff were largely very helpful, apart from one bar staff, but I think the poor guy was majorly stressed due to the airport being shut the night before and the mega amounts of work that were heaped on the staff in general, I understand loads were taken away from regular duties to help out where needed as they had so many extra unannounced guests staying the Thursday night.

The rooms there are always beautiful.

I had a fantastic time, all the attendees were friendly, and I really do want to thank attendees and crew alike for the way they treated my boys. They absolutely loved the weekend, and felt very comfortable and made not just to feel welcome, but to join in. I hardly saw my youngest!

The crew - fantastic as always, they really are great at their jobs and genuinely want to help. I didnt experience any grumpiness or rudeness at all from any of them, and am always genuinely very pleased to see them

Thanks to Mark, Jason and all the SM/ME teams for a fantastic weekend :D

we ask people to send in questions all the time if no one send then in we have to work with what we have its something we ask for all the time if you would like to help us by getting together some good questions them that would be great for us and the fans .

as to jenni i do not know if this is her or not she may have just used another name but there are a lot of issues that seem the same to us and as she has said she is not coming back i do not see why she wants to keep coming on here and having her say ?

if she wanted to have her say and do some good with it then maybe emailing us in privet would have been better than coming on here

i am going to clean up this thread now as its not helping anyone and as david b has said its good to have a place to get constructive feed back from but not a place to create issues and get of the point

If you ever get mr bewley again I might just have to detach my spam from canada and come back and give you 359812395891 questions

She's not coming back because she's going back to the USA not from choice Jason. Jenni is a fantastically nice girl who is blunt and honest, the grammar in that e-mail is also very below Jen, if she wanted to have her say then she would and has done, she wouldn't resort to setting up a fake alias. I can assure you of this.

All in all, ET3 was my fave event. I do think certain things could be done better, some of the crew are freaking awesome Mary (i think) for instance who was sorting out the meal, Gemma is always an absolute star and Davey is beyond lovely. Some of the crew are rude though one of them was incredibly rude to a friend of mine (and a complaint has been made)

The one thing I'd worry about if I was attending ET4 are the sheer amount of attendees, what if the same thing happens at ET4 as what happened to mr christopher? Not a criticism just a general pondering.

ALSO I can't remember her name GAH lol but Kelly and Becky I think it is were wonderful on sunday helping organise the team bewley Photoshoot.

i will let you into something

the crew are great but you would not know what they have to put up with we have to put up with some real corkers and some incredably rude people and some that are just nasty these one or two can really up set someone and this has happened and that sometimes brakes some crew members so if they fail from time to time then i talk to them and forgive them as i know all the crew are good people .

there were 900 people attending this event and very few of you talked about the things that were extra that were fun and worked well like the costume display bouncy castle etc one or two have but not many as people remember to bad things and the things that did not work 100% not the good things that did work well .

we try and do our best every time we only ever do our best and after a event we all get post con blues not just the fans , and its my job to come on here try to help with issues that people have and also try to explain why things are like they are , but tonight even i have post cone blues , i am glad the rest of the team dose not have to do my job tonight

well on with this thread :WINCE:

Ummm I mentioned the bouncy castle.... Yay go me!

I guess the bottom line really is, you can't please everyone.

At least next time we know what to expect with the Hilton, I will be taking my swimming costume for sure, I also need one of those things that PFach was wheeling around on at a Con in the US!

I think a team of researchers is a good idea definitely look into that, I am finding having been to all 3 cons and Prom, a lot of the same questions are asked again and again, would be good to see some innovative Q's going in for ET4, particularly as we have some reoccuring guests :) But the Q's are only ever as good as what we are submitting...

Also would be good to hear back from Jason and Mark on how things are going with the creation team, did you get many volunteers for that? Would have been nice to see table decorations etc in the future.

Chill out area is a good idea too, seems to be plenty of room at the new hotel.

xx

I only suggested a sitting area at the night time parties because i just think that would be nice for everyone to see the guests enjoying themselves at the parties too. as i overheard some people saying they hadnt seen the guests at the partys at all but that was because they couldnt walk around without getting crowded .

we all had such an amazing time !! you all did a wonderful job and should be very proud of yourselves :WINCE: xxx

Is that the name of that photographer? Malcome?

He was brill, he almost sounded like he was singing at people....hello madam, smile madam, 1 2 3 click, very nice, thank you madam...the way he was saying it all sounded like he was singing it lol

I've got his voice in my head by just reading your post. It was funny as he was so used to see madam that he said madam to a little boy having his pic taken with Charlie.

I heard he (Charlie) was heavy brushing against some fans in photo sessions.

wait...this is a bad thing?! :o

Tell me about it :crying: lol

BTW with the gold table I didn't get to speak to Tinsel/chris or kiowa at all hardly. There were like 25 people at our table even though we picked a group of 15, people kept joining ours! Even though there were tables with like 7 folk on

Yes our table was rather crowded I asked Kiowa how long he'd been in the UK "5 hours" no wonder the poor lad was tired - that was the only time I spoke to him....too busy laughing at Talie for throwing wine all over herself and rayray for getting drunk!!!!!!

How much wine do you get at the reception? I have gold for Bitten and was just curious!

My only question is this: I thought when one attendee physically attacks another attendee it was an automatic ban from future cons?

i thought that too, also threats from one attendee too the other :S

I'm more than slightly concerned by these comments. Can someone please explain them?

This is the first I'm hearing about physical attacks or threats to other attendees.

I think it stems from Jason's post a few pages back - about people crossing out other bids and being caught, etc and then banned from future cons.

Can't remember which page though sorry - have just skimmed through 7 pages to catch up.
