Maybe a way to address the seating situation in talks is to allocate a silver seating area beind the gold. It seems to be a popular idea amongst attendees as silver ticket holders to still pay alot more than standards so it would be fair in that sense. As for standard ticket holders, maybe standard seating could be allocated by rows, when people register they get given a ticket with a row number on it (starting with the first row obviously) so then people can only sit in their alloted rows. Obviously any seat would be up for grabs within that row but it would be slightly fairer maybe, they can sit anywhere so long as it is in that row. It wouldnt be really any unfairer then the system used at Hallowhedon, whatever seat you got in the first talk was your seat for the whole day, only it would be your seat for the whole weekend. Or maybe standards could collect a ticket each day of the con so it isn't the same people in the slightly better seats all weekend. Just a thought, not sure how plausable it would be, coz it might mean extra work for crew but just throwing it outhere incase.

Really excited about ET4!!!! Cant wait to meet alex

I can't remember if I said this before... I don't think I did.

I loved having the bouncy castle on the Saturday night. How many people can say they've been on a bouncy castle in the Hilton?

Loved the fair-style stalls, as well. Little touches like that make a huge difference.

Personally I didn't care for the bouncy castle, fairground stalls or the bungee things.

I'd had preferred money be spend on board games for the tables, or glowsticks, or sweets or something...

I was hoping for a photo area at the graduation party with a banner reading something along the lines of "Forks High School Class of 2010" as the Western Salloon thingy on the Friday was ace for photos.

there were 900 people attending this event and very few of you talked about the things that were extra that were fun and worked well like the costume display bouncy castle etc one or two have but not many as people remember to bad things and the things that did not work 100% not the good things that did work well .

I thought I did but sorry if I didn't because in particular I absolutely loved the costume display and would love to see John Henson with anything else he adds to his collection. More than seeing the collection, was talking to the man himself. What an absolutely lovely guy! He had bags of time for everyone I saw him talking to. He was a full of information! Great addition.

THe bouncy castle was great for some but not my cup of tea because I have a bad back...5 years ago I'd have been on it like a shot. I was glad to see the casino games back even though I didn't have a go this time.

Apart from needing to get used to the new venue (for oldies like me can we get in some motorised chairs  because it's so huge) and needing to do my homework on the best places to get something to eat outside the hotel, things were great. I'm sure that come ET4 any venue issues will have been ironed out. Thanks Jason and Mark, I really do know how hard it is to bring these cons together and sometimes I think people forget that you have all the other cons to organise at the same time!

Agreed with JaneDoe, I know I forget that Showmasters don't just run these Twilight cons...

Well, the good, great and FABULOUS parts of the cons were:

Improved procedure for calling in tickets to the halls for talks! at ET2 there were all kinds of ticket types forcing their way to the front which meant that I ended up in the second row even though I was G4...I mean, as complaints go I'm glad I was 2nd row rather than not being able to go at all but...it didn't really make sense

Parties! I loved the extra stuff, great for photo opportunites, and the tent scene at the newborn party was inspired! The smoke machine killed my eyes when I was wearing contacts, but it did give a nice effect when the DJ was playing Thriller haha.

Crew - I met some really lovely crew members who were genuinely excited to be part of Eternal Twilight which was nice (do have to say tho as this is supposed to be constructive criticism - there are a couple of crew members who are pretty rude and condescending to attendees, which is frustrating as we've forked out quite a bit of money to be there and don't really like being spoken to like a 5 year old...especially when the info that the crew member in question had was wrong!!)

Gold Pass reception- the tables was a great idea, SO MUCH preferred this to standing in a group at ET2! It's easy to accidentally cut people out of the conversation if you're all standing up around a guest, but with the guest seated at the table it was easier to hear what they were saying (to an extent) and it probably made the guests feel a little less crowded to..so bravo showmasters for that one! (Plus the cakes at the reception were lovely!)

Food: Good LORD the Hilton is expensive. But there are cheaper alternatives available than going to their restaurants such as ordering in from Dominoes which me and 4 other people did twice! (Healthy!!) And of course the food court, but I didn't actually check that out unfortunately, so i can't comment..

John Henson/Costume Collection - BLESS HIM!!! He's absolutely hilarious :D and it was great seeing all those costumes up close, the Volturi ones in particular were just...well, I don't want to sound completely pretentious here, but...they were majestic! Loved the detail on them. And John's talk was great, and the screening of the two Hillywood Show parodies was such a nice way to get veryon laughing, so that was great :)

Guest Encounters! I had my first guest encounter at ET3 so this isn't comparing it to anything..but I wanted to say THANK YOU to Showmasters for giving the fans a chance to do something like that. It was great to get a little more personal with the guests (in my case Charlie!) and it was a fantastic experience, so again, thank you :)

All in all, it's so easy to get home and then just remember the things that bothered you or that you didn't like (it's just human nature I think!) but at the end of the day if constructive criticisms are listened to and taken into account about the things that didn't work, then the good comments on the stuff that DID work should be taken ino account too. Thanks for a great weekend Showmasters, Guests, Crew, Attendees and everyone else involved!

Thank you to the posters above.

The thing is we do listen and we do try new things all of the time to make the events work better for everyone. We'll never get everything right for everyone, it's just impossible.

We also understand it's human nature to mention the bad things. But by not mentioning the good things it has 2 major effects.

1: It's hard to know if something was better or worse than before. There are somethings that will never be 100% great for everyone. We can only hope to make the majority of the people happy. There will always be some people that don't like it.

For instance, we changed the Gold Pass reception so we used tables. Now from our point of view it appeared to work better than before, every attendee got to see every guest, which was a big step forward. But we need that majority to say "actually it was better and I liked it this way!". Because at the moment we mostly get just the small minority that didn't like it commenting. This makes it "look" like it was a bad idea and that it didn't work.

If only the negative comments get made it makes it very hard for us to know if we're getting things right for the majority. Hopefully that makes sense.

2: We all work very very hard to make these events the best we can. A lot of us put our hearts and souls into these events. At Massive Events you'll never hear someone say "well that'll do!". We always want it to be the best we can do. As Jason has said, we all get post cons blues and it's made so much worse when you've had a great weekend, everyone seemed to have had a good time, to then come on here and see so much negative feedback compared to the positive.

We aren't perfect, we know that. But I know that our events are so much more organised than any other similar event in the UK, maybe even the world. We put so much thought into everything we do.

As I said above we know it's human nature to remember the bad things. Please remember we're human too and we will see the negatives like they are in size 50 bold text. So when we know that 95% of the event went really really well, it's a bit depressing when we come on here to see a large percentage of peoples posts are about the 5% that didn't work quite so well rather than the 95% that they really enjoyed.

This is not a rant at anyone. It's just an observation that it would be nice that the comments on here were more balanced. If 95% of the time you had a great time. Then why not have your post be 95% positive.

Thanks,

Stuart.

Okay so i'm not exactly great at explaining things but here goes;

i loved the bouncy castle, felt like a big kid again, i thought that was a great idea to keep people entertained at the parties. the decorations were great, and the tent for the newborn party was a really cool idea. entering the hall for talks was a lot better this time, more organised. The guests were awesome and really friendly. the foodcourt was cool, good selection for reasonable prices.

The only bad point i've got is that there isn't really much to do in the day while you're waiting for your autograph or photoshoot. some games or something in the day would be great.

Yeah I found there wasnt much to do in the day yet so much to do :D I know that doesnt make much sense but what i meant is there were times when i'd gotten an autograph and i then had half an hour till my next time but its not really long enough to go back up to your room so there was alot of hanging round and there was only really the dealers room to go have a wander round in but how about a chill out room? Filled with bean bags and generally a comfy place to sit while you wait. The corridoors got very packed with people queuing, waiting and getting from one room to another so it might make it easier to get around
