I'd vote for Benedict, only so I can get him to write Frak Katee Sackhoff, and her to write Frak Dirk Benedict, then tell him she has more fans... then hopefully see which would win in a fight.

But I wouldn't really have them write frak.

I'd get the other word.

You know.

spam.

I don't get starred any more, I get spam'd? Fucksake.

Dirk is a great guy and it would be excellent to have both 'Starbucks' at LFCC!!

Not what I heard

Was only going by personal experience, he was very friendly at Collectormania Manchester when I met him, he seemed to spend time with everyone who met him. Laughing and joking with them, taking pictures with everyone and generally seemed pleased to be there. He wrote a long dedication and drew a picture on the BSG soundtrack album cover I got signed.

Also, when I met him (and I heard him do the same for people in front of the queue before me) not only did he ask for your name when meeting you but he went to the trouble of remembering it and using it when you said goodbye a couple of minutes later.

Can't fault him from a meet and greet guest viewpoint, thats why I think it'll be great if he is able to attend another event.

Dirk is really nice and a great guest.

Only reason some people may not like him is 1) his attitude towards the new galactica, especially Starbuck and 2) His attitude towards smoking (staunch supporter of it and says it isnt that bad for your health)

Apart from that, great chap when I met him. Just very honest and outspoken, even at event talks when you'd think he would put it on the back-burner lol

Love him for that :P

Outspoken, yes. Honest.... not so much. Unless he genuinely believes the original BSG wasn't a commercial venture jumping on the SW bandwagon.

On the passive smoking thing... it's gone a little OTT, much like smoking in general, but it does have health risks. However... it's safer to be the victim of passive smoking than it is to breathe in toxic city air.

Dirk was really nice at Manchester. He refused to go for dinner and told his aide that he could eat tomorrow as people had come to meet him. He asked my name and where i was from and my sister, bless her, tried to explain exactly where we live, despite him not having the foggiest. I was really impressed :)

I mean honest in the 'I'm at a con, surrounded by sci-fi fans, but i'll say I dont like Starbuck and the new BSG anyway' way.

Most guests would try and be a bit diplomatic and be all 'well, it wasnt my cup of tea but they are doing good work'

To me, I wouldn't categorise that as being honest. More being a bit of a dick considering he called Sackhoff a hack because she had chebs. A nice pair of chebs.
