timelord81r Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) finally finished the pacific, was really good BUT very disjointed and random at times, you have little time to get to know the fellow soldiers of the 3 main marines, especially towards the end and some from early on vanish and are never heard of again. now you could argue the same of band of brothers regarding knowing the soldiers, but BOB has something that makes you want to rewatch it all over again straight off the bat where as pacific doesnt, pacific feels like a much longer series) still a good series with good action and very good drama, great music. but when put next to Band of brothers, it cant touch it, BOB has what feels a better narrative and a bit more soul. perhaps this is because pacific drew from 3 separate specific marines memories who all had passed by the time of the series. where as BOB was based on one company of soldiers from start to finish and most of which who survived the war were alive when the series was made. bassalone and leccies stories were more interesting but more time is given to sledges story which is still interesting but i wasnt too impressed with the actor playing him. good series, but not as good as BOB deff recommend it though, great series over all Edited February 20, 2011 by timelord81r Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
