We should also expect to see a new president, that might go to a well known actor to get the punters through the door.

 

So who would you cast?

 

How about - US President - Matthew Fox, Main villain - Edward James Olmos.

morgan freeman as the pres, mathew fox as jacks ex military buddy or ex military long lost son?, donald sutherland and someone else young as the baddies AND tony to be either a baddie or on jacks side but at the end of the last film jack and tony sacrifice themselfs saving the pres and die, fox last man standing so there is still someone to carry on the fight against terror

Agree it's got to to be a pretty dramatic storyline tho, people are used to the 'slightly' outlandish plots in the TV series, so will want something special as it's on the big screen.

 

Jack sacrificing himself at the end to save the president would be a fitting end to a legendary character, anything else is sort of selling himself short really.

 

Also, better to presume there will only be one film rather than wasting time setting the scene for sequels, as whether the film does well will depend on whether a second or third actually get made. So would want Jack to go out in a blaze of glory.

 

The option of then doing prequels (with Mr Almeida!!) would remain open.
