Phoenix Will Rise
Brittany Murphy Dies Brittany Murphy died last night after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ. She was 32. The Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ they received a call to a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack. We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." sazzra
I guess this will be followed by the inevitable speculation of the causes, but whatever it's just very sad

keithporter23
I could not believe it when I saw this on the 'net - I thought it was some kind of sick hoax. She was such a great actress, who still hadn't reached her full potential. She will be sadly missed.

KEVRAIL
Very sad indeed, our thoughts are with the family, a great talent and easy on the eye. My personal favourites Clueless (sharp, on so many levels) Freeway (somewhat dark, okay tar black, but a great thriller) Sin City (best graphic novel adaptation ever) King Of the Hill (will never be the same again) R.I.P. Will Jones
I was at a hotel for my work's Christmas Party when I saw this flash up on the Reception Plasma. Shocked is an understatement. Adored her in Sin City and many other films.
Daniel
I just found out this morning. It was such a shock I couldn't believe it. I will always remember her for Clueless, thats one of my favorite films. RIP Brittany
nosfer2
When I heard that she had died I thought I only knew about her because she was in 8 Mile (which I haven't seen). I then discovered that she was in Clueless and Sin City, both films that I enjoyed, but more significant for me was that she did the voice for one of the characters in King of the Hill, one of the funniest cartoons I've seen. RIP Brittany Murphy, you will be missed.
Will Jones
From a statement given by her husband, it seemed Brittany had been battling personal illness for a while. Such a shame. So very young.
