Showmasters Admin slaycandy Posted December 12, 2009 Showmasters Admin Share Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Guest Talks Questions! If you have a particular question that you would like asked at the guest talks, we now have a new way of submitting these to Massive Events prior to the convention! On each of the Massive Events' websites there is now a Guest Talks Questions submission form that you can fill out - all we need is your question, and the name of the guest you want it asked to. These questions will all be read and checked prior to being used at the weekend. The best (and most varied) questions will be selected and used during the guest talks each day of the event. For those of you that have been to a Massive Events convention in the past and seen the system of filling out a small paper form and leaving it in a box, this is basically the same procedure, but it helps us to get more organised prior to the event so that you get the best range of questions on the day! Please do not post your questions on the forums as they won't be checked, if you do have a question please fill out the form. We look forward to reading the questions that you come up with and hope that this makes the guest talks run more smoothly in the future! To submit a question for Hub 4: CLICK HERE! SJ x PS. Please note, only submit questions to guests that are currently confirmed to be attending an event, not guests that you hope will be there. [if you do these questions will be deleted from the inbox, so if the guest is later announced we will not have your question!] Or alternatively, submit questions that can be asked to any and all guests. Thanks! Also just a quick continuation of SJs PS. Please don't submit questions that are obviously inappropriate. These include questions with any "Proposals" in them. Be it "Will you marry me?", "Will you sleep with me?", "Can I have your babies?" or even "I love you!". They mean nothing to anyone accept you and so are pretty selfish. Also to be honest this type of question is NEVER really appropriate apart from between consenting adults that know each other very well, and so are definitely not appropriate at a talk with 800 attendees. The people that read them to choose which one's are read out really don't need to read about your personal attraction and physical wants. They will not be read out and so there really isn't any point in sending them in. This type of question is one of the reasons that we have an MC in the first place. So please do keep your personal yearnings to yourself. Edited December 12, 2009 by slaycandy

BeatrixKiddo88
Along with the no 'how did you get he job' boring questions, can we all leave in-jokes to the signing desks. It makes everyone in the room go 'huh?' and sometimes even the guest you have the joke with lol Make sure when you ask a question the guest will know what your talking about. ElectroxGirl
Sort of. In which case that would probably be under the ones that "only mean something to you" so no one else will understand. Probably not a good idea to ask that in the talk.

There's usually a box at the registration desk where you can submit your questions too - so no major hurry.
