I'm so sorry I know one was around G127 and the other was somewhere around that I was just saying that they shouldn't have been in with Gold 1 to 10 sorry!

I was Gold 127 and i went in with my own group when i was supposed to. If people were in the wrong seats why not get one of the staff to check it out and get them moved?

I had a great weekend and didnt have any problems. :whistling:

I didnt like the band on Saturday night, they were truly awful. The idea of a live band was good, but they sucked.

When Gil's signing was running late and everyone was crowded outside queuing for the talks, it was way too hot and stuffy. I understand that the staff were trying to make more room for other people coming, but there was no room where i was and they kept shoving more people over and telling us to move closer together. We were practically sitting on top of each other and it made me feel a bit dizzy.

Apart from that i thought it went very well :uhoh:

I thought the band were fun enough and obviously a fair few other people did too as they sold out of cd's on the night! Good for them. I guess it's impossible to please everyone.

I didn't enjoy the band as much, but they did add an atmosphere to the place. The idea of having a band was an excellent one (someone told me a suggestion she had made to Mark & Jason about bands which was reaaaaaally good) and one they should go for again. Maybe next time one with a little more experiencce...but I do have to take my hat off to them!!

I had a wonderful weekend, I didnt have any problems at all, (could have done without the idiot girls behind us putting their feet on our chairs)

all the staff we talked to was lovely and even jokey thou they must have been a tad stressed.

This was my 1st SM con and I was so surprised how smoothly it run.

Thanks everyone for fun weekend,

yeah the band wasnt amazing but they did very well for how young they were.

Oh I'm not saying it was terrible the entire time, in fact I loved the event and had an amazing time, and it wasn't a gripe at the crew more so at some of the attendees that felt they had the right to barge through (I wasn't even gold 1-10 myself) I was just saying as it did happen the odd time.

I don't think you like me jason ahah :( You always quote me on the odd bad thing I say even though I :( the events lac.gif

For me all the weekend was perfect except for 2 things:

I don't know if anyone say this, but the wait to start the party after the guests talks was so boring and if you had the hotel far away the only that you can do is spend money or wait and wait and wait..

my advice is a play room, with guitar hero, WII sports, twister, twilight trivial..any thing that can make the wait more funny

and other that make me feel very upset and angry, in general all the staff was very nice...but this is about 2 persons in concrete and i think that i need say this..

when TRY to speak english is a little hard, because i need time to think in spanish and translate to english..

so i'm really grateful if some people of the crew can have more patience and especially have respect.. because it isn't nice see the people laugh of me in my face, because maybe i don't understand all the english but i understand enough for know when the people jokes are about me

Eeeee!! It was SO good. I really didnt think anything could beat ET1 but this weekend was equally amazing if not better. The guests were brilliant!! Couldnt be happier!

I loved how there was a band on Saturday night. Not all of their songs were to my taste but they I think they tried to pick songs that appealed to the majority and they did a decent enough job. I wouldn't pay to go see them again or anything but they did well considering they were quite young and it livened the party up a bit and got everyone singing and dancing along. Such a good idea!

The decorations were also amazing. You guys really went all out and it looked amazing. Shame people decided to steal bows n stuff...that's a bit pointless!

I personally didn't have any problems with staff. Infact there's one lady on the registration desk with short brown hair and glasses and she's always so helpful. At ET1 we bought all our photoshoots at once and thought we lost one so we searched around everywhere and ended up going back to buy another one after we'd given up hope and that lady had kept it there the whole time to see if we'd come back because we accidently left it behind ha.

The guy with the shoulder length black hair and beard was also really helpful over the weekend and there are 2 female crew members - one with short blonde hair and another with shoulder length brown curly hair who are always smiling and ready to help you and they never seem to get stressed out when things get hectic! (sorry I have no idea what anyones names are :()

I really liked the map too from ET1 and the meadow room...it would have been cool if they had something like that this time.

And I know everyone has said it already but there are often quite big gaps. It's great sometimes as you obviously need time for lunch and to drop things off at hotels/get ready etc. but the gaps are often a few hours long. I do understand there was limited space at the Park Inn though so there's not much that can be done if all the rooms are full already.

I think Davey done a great job asking the guests questions. Obviously it went a bit wrong with the same questions being asked but he rolled with it and kept going. Good job! Especially trying to get a word in edgeways with Edi :D

The DJ was a lot better this time round as there wasn't songs being repeated over and over.

The Sunday parties can do with something to liven them up a bit but I have no suggestions :/ it was just a bit quiet compared to Friday and saturdays parties.

Attendees were so much more relaxed than ET1. It was a huge difference. I know some people have said they were still crowding round the guests but I didnt see that so I dunno. But it was cool the guests were so relaxed and open. They really seemed comfortable especially in the guest talk at the end.

Umm....can't think of anything else right now and no complaints really....it was an AMAZING weekend!

Thanks!! :(

Aye he's the guy that was really nice to us too

He seems really nice :) he was dealing with queues for signings a lot of the time and was still really helpful even when it was hot and crowded. And he made an effort to get dressed up on the Saturday(?) :(

I totally enjoyed myself! Great weekend overall!

I just wanna say this, at the Gold tix reception, esp with the big groups, when the guests is standing at the edge of the circle it sorta feels awkward to "talk" to the guest in that distance..so it is mostly the ppl next to the guest that end up talking to them. Rachelle stood right smack in the middle of the circle and it worked wonderfully. I know it was the guest's preference that made them stand wherever they ended up staying but it just worked better with the guests in the middle of the big circle. Maybe if these receptions were in seperate rooms it would be less crowded and noisey. Not a big problem really just wanted to say what I though worked and what kinda felt a bit awkard hehe.

Other than this...I don't really have any complaints...Park Inn is getting a bit small for a large crowd so whoever said something about crowding up the halls etc..this may change with the Birmingham Hilton as there are stuff to do there in the middle of autographs, photos and talks.

I will only say this, to all the staff and crew, keep doing your job as good as you can and to the attendees at ET2 thank you for NOT SCREAMING!! The cheers were fun and totally cool. Also a couple of other things I actually did appreciate when it was first announced before the con, the allowed time to take pics during the talk. That was great and also the rule about the chair you sit in is yours regardless if you pop out just for a tiny bit etc..nobody should jump up to take your place cos you had to go to the loo or whatever! This worked wonderfully for me at least and that we didn't have to sit thru flashes from cameras during the entire talk was a relief for me and most likely for the guests!

So that is the only feedback I got to give for now... :-). Now if I can just hold my HANDS down for the next auction so I do not end up bidding on stuff I do NOT NEED or am able to bring home without a lot of hassle I'd be all set, lmao!

The atmosphere was good thanks to the live band but they murdered Super Massive Blackhole TWICE!

They also murdered Bon Jovi's you give love a bad name...LOL

But they gave a great athmosphere so I will give them that credit...trust me they were brilliant to some other bands I have heard live and these were openers FOR Bon Jovi at stadium shows. At least these boys were fun!

Ok I'm going to stop quoting numbers they were somewhere between 120-140 just trying to say that they shouldn't have been in with G1-10 I agree the band on saturday night was awful!

Wow! :( How did they manage to get so far up front if the passes were being checked?!!

Aw, guys, give them a break! They're only 14-17 years old, and it was their first big gig, think of it from their perspective! I'd've been terrified!

Fair play to them, and every band has to start out somewhere...I'm just saying i thought they were awful! A lot of the younger ones seemed to love them though so i'm sure they were happy!

Agreed! I had to cover my ears haha!!

IT's taken me until now to come down from the high I was on all weekend!!!

I have to say that apart from the hanging around after having my 3 autographs done on Sunday and waiting for the talks, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the event at all.

The band were good considering they were so young and had a rather discerning crowd to entertain! It took a lot of guts to sing that particular Muse song!

Malcom the photographer was amazing on Saturday night in his Dracula garb!

Now if I could just a) get Journey out of my head and :D afford to go to ET3 everything would be absolutely brilliant!

OMG!!! Malcolm looked AWESOME! Love him!

Can I just say as well that I thought the security chaps did a really good job at the weekend, they were totally professional but not rude with it. The poor guy looking after Rachelle on Saturday night while she was flying around all over the place, she is so tiny and fast!!!

lol xoxo

The security did a fantastic job, they didnt crowd the guests and stop people from being able to meet them which I have found happened at previous cons. They also didn't look really angry to be there, they seemed happy :)

I know what you mean about Rachelle, he looked like he was having trouble keeping up :P

I think in the end his hand never left her back because he didn't want to lose her :)
