As reported in the NY Times, Peter Jackson wil be making his first convention appearance in the US San Diego comic con.

As Showmasters is the UK's largest and best convention organiser, how about putting in a call now that we know he's willing to attend these things?

As much as I'd love to meet the man, SDCC gets people far easier because they're simply there to promote their work.

So it's probably not any likelier now than it was before ;)

Damnit when I saw this on the front page of the forum I thought it was going to be an announcement from SM that he was appearing!

Did you do this deliberately Keith, just because I disagreed with your burning desire to have the same guests again for the next Autographica?!

DavidB - youve got to think and aim higher, don't be a realist ;) - you never know what could happen!!

Did you ever expect the likes of Christopher Lloyd or Scott Bakula were ever gonna attend a convention over here? Over the past few years Showmasters have pulled some amazing guests out of the bag, so anything is possible.

Remember David as William Shakespeare wrote in Richard III act 3 scene 5

"Reach for the stars

Climb every mountain higher

Reach for the stars

Follow your heart's desire

Reach for the stars

And when that rainbow's shining over you

That's when your dreams will all come true"

I think its very hard not to feel humbled by such written genius

I wouldn't be against it :P

I just don't let myself get my hopes up based on who they get, as they get sh!tloads that would never do a normal signing ;)

That's true...Hamill was at WonderCon this year! lol

If I had managed to remember that famous quote in my A level English exam - I might have got that A.

It's a bit more realistic than asking for George Kennedy to come back for Autographica 14
