sazzra
Makes me wonder how that list was compiled, as I would argue that Nichelle Nichols had a far greater effect at the time than Sarah Michelle Gellar or Gillian Anderson did.
Moderators DavidB Posted June 8, 2009 Moderators Share Posted June 8, 2009 Ripley's right on top, I'm very happy about that. Definitely would have moved Leia and Uhura up though. Both have had a far longer lasting impact on Sci-Fi than some of those they are below. Buffy, BSG, and X Files are 3 of my favourite shows, but they're incomparable to some on that list. And Megan Fox? Right ..
Daniel
Buffy Summers (aka SMG) should be one place higher.

Doctor Who
Very happy about the fantastic Rose Tyler and brilliant Sarah Jane Smith getting places in the chart.
Lambourne
Claire Bennet number 11? She isn't even the best female character in Heroes.
Christoff
Claire Bennet number 11? She isn't even the best female character in Heroes. In your opinion I do think there's quite a bit wrong with that list though.
mooby81
Definitely agree with Ripley being top...agree with quite a few others on the list whether their placing is quite right is another matter!
frankslittlemachine
Megan Fox?? Yeah, sure! I'm kinda surprised about the lack of inclusion for Jeri Ryan though... Edited June 11, 2009 by frankslittlemachine
nicky
Where's Trinity from The Matrix? Or even Alice from Resident Evil? There are some really odd choices on there. The list is whack.
sazzra
Where's Trinity from The Matrix? Or even Alice from Resident Evil? There are some really odd choices on there. The list is whack. And suspiciously on a site, posts about which constitute bobkbob's entire posting history. I think I might make a site and make up lists too - there's certainly nothing to say how they came to those conclusions so it makes you wonder if it's a group of lads listing who they had the hots for as kids rather than a representative poll/sample. thedude57
most of this list i agree with would not have put Stabuck at number 3 ahead of Uhura or leia would have added Lois Lane, she has been a major female character in Sci-fi since the 30's the dude
Chako
Rather shocked Lynda Carter isn't higher up on the list! She's amazing! And yes Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver both deserve to be high up on that list :)
