Other events do charge up to 15 per shot, but that is usually the Red Dwarf cast price. So you're not actually getting the free ones for free, you're paying a fee. If you have a cast photo of all of them (and say the gelf is in it too!), you get them all to sign it for free (or, rather, inc in the £50 entrance fee). But you also want 8x10s of each of them signed. You then spend an extra £5 for each of them, so that'd be £40 altogether. You've then got a pic of Chris Barrie in Brittas Empire you want signed. That'll be £5 for that auto. Maybe that makes it clearer? Question for SM: In the silver ticket, do we get a photoshoot with all 8, like with the autos? If you're getting one free per cast member, and you have paid for them in the ticket price, why would you need to get extra? BTE pictures, yes their new, but how many different shots are available? You've got the full cast shots. Lister on bike, Kryten being well err Kryten and so on. All I'm saying is if you've got 8 to get another 8 is quite costly, and would possibly slow the queue down while people buy extra pictures and get them signed. There's often signing sessions per guest, and then a big signing session with all of them. And it also depends on who's attending when. Anyway it shouldn't take that long to get through queues regardless, as it's not a massive convention. And as Lizzy said, there's plenty of different things people might want signed, so that's up to them. At these prices, I'm certainly tempted to do 1 group shot and get 8x10s too. Waiting in any line gets a little tedious sometimes, just a thought if the queue was massive, you could do something else to occupy the time until it was your turn. I'm not disagreeable with anything you're saying. Just good to know the information. As with the cast talks. Will they be on a stage so people at the back can see them? You won't be far back even if you have ticket number 500. It is not a "roving" mike- There is one guy who reads out people's questions, and additional are asked by people at the end, if there's time. For the autos, people are called out in groups of about 20 for each guest separately. So say, numbers 1-20 see Craig first; 21-40 see Chris first, etc. Once they are all done, they then swap. And so on. And there is stuff to do in the meantime like look at the dealers room, go to the bar or (here's an interesting suggestion for some) socialise! For a small con, there won't be much waiting or queueing at all. And when you get your 8 free autos from each guest, if you want extras, you don't HAVE to get another 8, you can just get a couple. For me, I've already got 8x10s of them all, and need to fill up my group shot and get my photoshoots signed, which will be my extras. But I've already got Craig, Chris and Hattie on my group pic, so I won't need extras from them. And my Norman 8x10 is randomly signed in biro, so I'd like another. Clearer?
