Guest Suggestions

Have the dates been announced yet? I might have missed them, but I didn't notice any flyers for the event over the weekend.

Also, can we have a forum set up so we can start guest suggestions please? B)

Just to get things rolling with a few guest suggestions:

I'll reiterate the often requested Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews...

How about a few for starters,

Jaime Sánchez - Angel from the Wild Bunch; Marc Antony in Julius Caesar; Rudy in Carlito's Way

Bo Hopkins

L.Q Jones

Kris Kristofferson

Richard Todd

Also, more Lancaster bombers - and please, please, please do all you can to reuinte George Johnson with any of the remaining members of his crew - he mentioned Les Munro might be worth approaching and flying in from New Zealand!

Thanks for a great show over this weekend!

I like those suggestions - DVD and JA would be a huge coup, and I'd actually dig out an album for Kristofferson to sign - he wrote some good songs. Realistic guest too. What do you think Dave P? And MORE MUSIC GUESTS PLEASE!

I'd like to see more Music/Musicals guests. There's a real void in that respect where these events are concerned. I mean, how cool would it be to meet the likes of Ennio Morricone or Howard Shore.

I've also suggested an Oliver reunion in the past -

Ron Moody, Shani Wallace, Mark Lester

I'd also love to see these guys

Herbert Lom

John Leyton (I know he's signed before)

It's ok guys .... I've got it .....

*clears throat*

YES ..... I AM SER-IOUS .... AND DON't CALL ME SHIRLEY :D

*bows deeply*

.... but seriously folks :P

Nielson has worked with both George Kennedy and Ernest Borgnine, and indeed all three did a US con together last year - so it's highly likely !!

Some great suggestions so far, especially Julie Andrews and Dcik Van Dyke, but can I add just a couple more names (I know most are probably impossible to get, but I know how you like a challenge to get the best guests possible);

Jane Russell - (please invite this amazing talent - I know she does signings in the states)

Peter Falk

Debbie Reynolds

Larry Hagman

Leslie Nielsen

Doris Day

Shirley Maclaine

Faye Dunaway

Sophia Loren

Jane Fonda

Lauren Bacall

Liza Minnelli

Jerry Lewis

Esther Williams

Angie Dickinson

Kirk Douglas

Ellen Burstyn

Edward Woodward

Any of Hitchcocks leading ladies

Robert Wagner

Stephanie Powers

Elizabeth Taylor

Ann-Margret

Leslie Caron

Louis Jourdan

Angela Lansbury

Mitzi Gaynor

Jane Powell

Cybil Shepherd

Also possible some directors;

Blake Edwards

William Friedkin

Norman Jewison

Peter Bogdanovich

Mike Nichols

Is this enough suggestions for now?

Leslie Nielsen is a must. I was talking with George Kennedy about him - he says that despite being the funniest man he ever worked with that he is a very serious and well read individual. "He reads all of the philosophers" he said. I'd love to meet him!

Ann-Margret is a great suggestion!

What about Doris Day?

And I'm sure he must have been suggested many times before, but

Peter O'Toole
