EdwardDiggory
It was by FAR the best weekend on my life. I can't stop crying that it's over now I'm going to admit something, I had such and amazing time meeting and chatting to fans and guests a like that I got back on Sunday late evening and cried, because I missed it and loved it so much. Thank You SO MUCH for giving me the best weekend I have ever had. I was really upset too that I cried before I went to sleep... It was the best weekend ever! I would love for Peter and Kellan to come to ET2 because I think I miss them the most!! I'm pleased I was given something from Peter.... A kiss and HIS COLD!!!! canaliens
I had such an amazing time this weekend, the La Push party was great (I even got up and did a bit of Queen on the karaoke!) everything was really well organised so we got to our photos/signings without a rush, the guest talks were FANTASTIC, and prom was pretty damn good too! 1901 was a bit sparse but some of the costumes were great. I have the beginnings of the Peter Flucinelli, but that just gives me an interesting talking point for the next couple of weeks. Did anyone else laugh when Peter was talking about the girl he had his first crush on, and it turned out her name is Wendy? or were peoples minds on things other than Disney during his talks? One thing I feel slightly let the side down for this weekend was some of the attendees. And I'm not about to start the whole "All these newbies screaming the place down!" point because its sort of been done to death so much to the point that it just seems like elitism. Yeah, there were a bunch of people there who personally I don't think have even read the books but who's to say they can't go to something like this for a film they really like? The people that bothered me were the ones swarming round the guests and then STAYING there instead of saying hello and moving on, the rudeness of people who just barged into you and the people who seemed to spend all their time giving everybody within 10 feet of them death stares, and then the people who took things a little too seriously (in my opinion) during the talks - I actually heard someone sitting behind me complaining "Do they have to clap after EVERY question?!"..now I don't know if maybe its just me alone on this one but I considered the clapping polite, and a nice way to finish the question instead of just leaving things hanging there till the guy asking the questions started the next one (it would be awesome if people could ask their own questions but I don't know how that one would work...might encourage a lot of "Will you marry me?"'s but it could be fun!) and there was actually only a couple of times during the first part of when we saw the guests that I thought the screaming was too loud or out of control. I liked the interaction with the audience (ESPECIALLY the reaction to "I love it that you like it dirty!" which is possibly the best heckle I've ever heard...) and yeah there were too many "WE LOVE YOU ASHLEY/KELLAN/PETER/JUSTIN/CHRISTIAN" but it was all in good fun, and I don't think they minded at all. Quite a few of the questions were ones that had already been asked in a different way it seemed so they probably liked the interruption! One idea possibly for the next con could be a cut off point for the parties, say 7-9pm or 8-10pm could be all ages, then after that would be over 18s and then hopefully there wouldn't be as many underage drinkers or hopefully guest stalkers! jess8619
I think it's a bit unfair saying all the under18's were stalkers I'm 15 and didn't do any of that. :/
Moderators DavidB Posted March 2, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 2, 2009 I'm sure no one's trying to target any specific ages, or whether anyone was new or not. Let's not get too offended by what anyone's saying
jess8619
Oh no, I wasn't getting offended because I agree with what was being said. I was just making a point, must've come across wrong. :) Edited March 2, 2009 by jess8619
JaneDoe
I totally agree with you. I liked the audience interaction but the guest hoggers were not good. It seemed to be the same faces and sorry, if it was any of you...just share the love next time And an excuse me wouldn't have gone amiss in the crowds either. I have bruises all up my arms and my toes were crushed a few times. But it's all by the by since I had a fab time. And you are not alone with the Wendy image. Up she popped in my brain fully formed with curls and a blue night gown lol!!!
canaliens
Oh no, I wasn't getting offended because I agree with what was being said. I was just making a point, must've come across wrong. :) Sorry, that did come across a bit as if I was blaming everyone under 18 for all the insane guest crowdings - it totally wasn't! There was quite a few older people who should really know better the over 18s idea was more for the alcohol side of things - which could probably be sorted out by people actually just getting ID'd come to think of it! JaneDoe
My daughter who is 19 was ID'd a few times but not always so I know what you are saying. Although next time I am taking my slightly yonger daughter with me...if she goes near the bar at her age I'll throttle her....she's only
Stacey
I didn't get ID'd at all. I am 21 though, I never thought I looked it but I get ID'd hardly ever nowadays so maybe I am beginning to look older!

sisterspooky
just wanted to say how much of an amazing time i had this weekend and how well it was all run and kept going smoothly. the events in the day well so great and the parties were better than i could have even expected. Loved every minute of it and wanted to thank everyone of the massive events team for all the work they did. not only was the event and all the guests great but what i enjoyed was being around so many different kinds of fans from different places, age groups and who had different experiences when it came to finding out about the saga and every single person was welcoming, helpful and friendly to talk to. booked up for next time already! xoxo
Starbuck73
One word... ABSOLUTELYFREAKINGFANTASTICALLYAWESOME!!! :P A big thanks especially to the crew who took the time to make my son feel so welcome, he was a bit over-whelmed with all the screaming at first, but loved every minute of meeting the guests, getting photos, etc. Roll on October!!! katieharris101
it was amazing! already booked silver for october. cant wait.. a very big thank you to jason for sorting out my photo with ashley. i apreciated it probably more than you know. thankyou for helping out a newbie. i didnt know what to expect at the con and was a bit overwhelmed at first, but it was better than i ever hoped for. meeting the guests was wow. and i went on my own, i have now met other attendees and got on with them so well. having friends to share the experience with makes it so much better. my highlights: guest encounter with peter obviously and watching peter play pool in the bar. he was relaxed and not stressed out by the screaming 14 year old fangirls. elliepandolfi
Thank you so much to Gemma for coming up with this, YOU'RE AMAZING! I made my mum and brothers look at all the photos I'd taken and they said it was the happiest they'd seen me look for ages! I've said this so many times but I had an amazing time, and this has made me realise how much I'm hating college right now, so tomorrow (or later today, whatever ) I'm going to tell them I'm dropping out! That might sound like a bad thing, & I know there's only 8 weeks or something left, but I'm impatient to start pursuing what I really want to do asap. I'll probably do evening classes for a levels next year aswell, but basically the point I'm trying to make is that the amount of fun I had is what finally convinced me to make the decision I've been putting off all year! I'm going to admit something, I had such and amazing time meeting and chatting to fans and guests a like that I got back on Sunday late evening and cried, because I missed it and loved it so much. Thank You SO MUCH for giving me the best weekend I have ever had. I haven't cried (yet, haha)! I talked to you on the Saturday, me and my friend tried and failed to convert you to team edward. I was the one with the out of control red curly hair!

KateT
Thank you everyone That was a great event, i enjoyed every minute. The themes/decorations for the parties were great (i especially liked the casino) and so were all the guests so thanks so much for putting it all together for us. I already have my ticket for ET2 and can't wait!! Thanks again!! xoxoxoxox
amy-s-keeper
Thanks a lot guys!!! This was one of the most awesome weekends EVER!! Everyone did a great job at all the organising and it worked out simply fantastic. And the guests were just amazing. I'm so happy that they were there and made this a fantastic time for all of us. However I gotta agree with what had been said before, some people unfortunately just didn't seem to know when to back off. No matter whether you're a newbie or not, and no matter whether you're still in your teens or already older, I think people need to consider that the guests are only human too. Especially at the prom/casino party I felt that things were getting out of control a bit. I really hope that this will be different in October. Either way thank you very very much again for a fantastic weekend. I can't wait for October to come!!
ImprintedBlonde
I want to thank everyone involved, you put so much hard work into it and believe me, it was very much appreciated! I would also like to thank 'TooTall' especially for putting up with me when i tried to organise getting my chair (that i won at the auction) signed by the other guests, i bugged him a few times throughout the day and he was very helpful every time. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE!! CANT WAIT TILL OCTOBER......ONLY 8 MONTHS and 13 DAYS....I THINK xxx
