barni
Normandy Landings 65th Anniversary - June 04/08, 2009 So how about a Band Of Brothers Reunion? Parhaps the guests could be a combination of some of the actors and some of the real life heroes from easy-company.

vintageSW77
Normandy Landings 65th Anniversary - June 04/08, 2009 Not be disrepectful but it doesnt really fit in with the theme of the show though does it and if this is disrespectful i dont care but again what have crime scene shows, hospital based shows and bleedin Dr Quinn Medicine woman got to do with this show ? I know the addition elswhere of a Big Brother guest have opened the gates for some truly odd suggestions but HOME AND AWAY and NEIGHBOURS!!!!!??? There are some fantastic suggestions on here but cant we please stick (on the fringes if we have to...even if this means tv stars of shows with the tiniest sf/fantasy/horror referance) to the world of(once more from the top) FILM and COMICS jeez Edited November 30, 2008 by vintageSW77
Avengers7
and if this is disrespectful i dont care but again what have crime scene shows, hospital based shows and bleedin Dr Quinn Medicine woman got to do with this show ? Thats just it you are being direspectful again... For some reason unless its on Hammer or Doctor Who you don't want to know. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and if they want to ask for them let them. I for one would be landed to have more guests from Crime shows as would many others. Moderators DavidB Posted November 30, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2008 Yes, it's called London Film and Comic Con but it's just a name, and television shows WILL be represented, and I see no problem with that. Granted, the suggestion Barni made might be a little out of the realm of possibility/appropriateness, but TV show guest suggestions are perfectly understandable. So can we please not be attacking the tastes of others. Stick to supporting your own thing without bringing others down.
vintageSW77
For some reason unless its on Hammer or Doctor Who you don't want to know. Thats rubbish I have an interest in MANY actors from different genres of movies In the big piece of pizza that we get at Showmasters it just so happens that the slices i like are usually Dr Who flavoured with a taste of Hammer and the others are often Buffy,Stargate,Harry Potter and Heroes flavoured which i dont like, they tend to give me bellyache so i give em a miss and after ive eaten up my slices theres nothing else i like to put in my guttywutts which is a shame because after my share im still left a bit hungry...sure we get a little bit of extra flavour topping wise from the world of movies but they are slightly sprinkled at the moment. Potentially there are a HUGE amount of possible guests im interested who could appear at shows but i never ask for them or big them up because they wouldnt get a look in because a small percentage would turn out for them(David Hess or Jessica Harper for instance off the top of my head) and also my nostrils are positioned near the nescafe enough to realise asking for them would be a waste of time which leaves me asking for folk from the two areas i reckon i would realistically see appearances anounced and this HAS happened and im eternally greatful.(Thank you SM for allowing me to meet Caroline Munro,Val Leon ,Ms Beswicke,Dave Prowse,Maddy Smith etc) Im probably a bigger fan of Planet of The Apes than Hammer and Who but i never mention this because my chances of anyone still alive from that flick appearing are diddly. AND as for Who theres been many a Who guest ive had no interest in so your critisizm is without foundation. Have a crime show based con for fans of implausible storylines, flashy editing and the obligitory Who tracks but please lets try and keep this Film and Comic themed con a Film and Comic themed con eh because its the only one we got in a forum filled with specialist shows and i apologise if ive offended any fans of quality aussie drama (!) or indeed fans of soft focus fit milf medics who practised in the old west but a film /comic con is not the place for guests from these genres. If you intend to have tv stars why on earth give this show a specialist title. What would make it different than any other show held throughout the year in Mid and Mk etc? There are F*** all UK comic and Movie cons left nowadays. Lets have one just for us eh? Edited December 1, 2008 by vintageSW77
MikeDonovan
a fit MILF medic who practiced in the old west I wonder if this is how it was originally pitched to the network. I would have put in a 13 show order - it's a no brainer!

LFCC is the only con I rely on and look fwd to for giving us some decent FILM guests. I know we get one or two good ones at MK or Midlands but LFCC is the one which I think is our best bet for bagging them. jamie1138
i think i've been to every london FILM and COMIC con and there's never been any guests of note from the world of comics, ever. the title does seem a bit pointless.

To be fair, there were stalls selling comics at LFACC so it can keep the name based on that.
