I'm really interested in knowing what you people are thinking about wearing. Personally I have never in my life been at a prom, we just don't really have that in Denmark, so I have absolutely no idea on what to wear except I imagine some kind of fancy dress. I assume the guys will be wearing tux? Or so? So discuss here, share links, photographs, ideas, where do you find inspiration? Etc. What will you be wearing? For La Push Beach Party, go here. JaneDoe Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) You know, proms are so popular now, even here in the UK the kids have them My eldest daughter had one and they all dressed up in full length gowns and the boys wearing tuxes! They all looked awesome. I'm more of the age of a chaperone than anything else but I guess it wouldn't harm to wear soemthing like a nice evening dress...does that sound old fashioned? The strapless dresses like those on this site are the type of thing that is popular at the moment. In fact you can buy dresses of this style in just about every shop you go in. Evie_Nitram Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 I started making a beautiful evening gown for Eclipse 1, but then I got pregnant, and there was no way I was going to fit into it, so it's just in pieces in my cupboard. If I find the time/energy to finish making it, I might do that. The most important thing for me, is this is the perfect opportunity for me to base my 'I must have lost my pregnancy weight by Eternal Twilight' vow. I want to be back in size 10-12 clothing by the time February comes round... seems impossible at the moment, as I'm the size of a small house, and getting bigger every week! Me too!...and pick and mix But, we have to get through Xmas first and I could be in New York for that but that's ok....I always get a bad stomach in the US. Carlistara Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 One thing is absolutely for sure, I will be wearing my fancy prom dress from a couple of years ago (it´s kinda timeless, so it does not matter...). I love dressing up and if everyone does (at least a little) it will add lots of spirit to the whole party! isa_lily Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) ha ha, yeah, i have a very similar dress too (i'm not sure about the blue, maybe a bit darker) I wanted to wear it, but not to dress up as Bella, just because I love that dress I wish I had more opportunities to wear it Plus, if you dress up as Bella ... bewarethepossums Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) I just found the perfect dress, which is almost exactly what I was looking for! ...though I don't know if I'll pay £30 for it, as ordering online doesn't garuntee that it'll fit (and stapless will probably be a problem with a lack of anything to hold it up, haha). I may just steal a dress from a friend instead...hmm. (Edited beacuse I tried to put the image in, but it didn't work so the link will have to do, Aakerman xD.)
