Showmasters have an involvement with Tenth Planet's Dr Who events.

There's at least 4 in the next 12 months.

It's four books, this is the first. After Potter they're apparently the quickest selling books of all time or something.

The film is going to be huge, so Showmasters would be wise to get it first like they did with the Heroes guests.

Ah ok, thanks. I looked it up on wikipedia and sounds interesting like Interview With The Vampire (1994). I'd also be interested cos it's directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown) working with Nikki Read again. The cast had a panel at this year's SDCC. I ssumed it was a TV show that people were voting on here and that the film was something totally separate.

 

No no no, it's terrible. It's based on a teen romance series, and the last book is the worst piece of junk I've read in my entire life. Even the fans are sending it back.

i voted buffy, chuck, and terminator; even though there have already been loads of buffy cons, and terminator and chuck are being covered by another con organizer (although i think showmasters would do a better job *prays for a showmasters chuck con*)

You think so? I thought they got in danger of wearing out the 'gimmick' but then they sensibly brought in some twists and turns that took sole attention away from the 'gimmick' and gave the show some much needed depth. But hey not everyone can like everything

So hard to narrow down to three choices as there are lots of series in each category I enjoy immensely. I'd definitely like to see conventions for Buffy/Angel, Supernatural and Prison Break though.

I think that any book that can get people up and stand in a queue outside a bookshop from 5 in the morning has a pretty good fanbase. Add in a film with people like Robert Pattinson, MTV's Twilight tuesday's, Entertainment weekly covers and a jampacked Comic Con panel when the film hasn't even come out yet and there's only a teaser trailer and one normal trailer out so far. I'm sorry Psychosis but it's going to be huge.

 

If showmasters jump on this bandwagon early before it goes completely through the roof i really think it'll pay off.

If its so big why has only 32 people voted for it? In there category alone Lost, Terminator SCC, Star Trek, Ugly Betty and James Bond are beating itlet alone the other two categories by that alone showmaster should NOT do a twillight con and do something like a Buffy/Angel con as it is on top .

Plus the 4th book only came out on monday then you made your 1st derogatory post about it yesterday. Which means you bought the book in hardback (expensive) and then spent the next couple of days reading it..... Also remember that the poll is based on the votes of just the people that could be bothered from this forum. Don't forget that a convention would be attended by people from all over the country (plus Europe if we're lucky) not just people from this forum. All in all... very few people have voted on this poll at all. And if you read some people's posts..... They may have voted for something else but have said that they would still attend a Twilight convention.
