Ophelia Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 (I've posted this before but it's relevant here too) I really enjoyed the party (the venue was brilliant), met up with some old friends and met some new ones too *waves to Matt from Bristol*. Kai and Paul were a scream and to the people who dressed up you all looked amazing. The Security guys outside the venue were lovely too. I'm actually waiting for any pictures to show up, I know quite a few people took some. Which was quite the experience as this was the first time both myself and my friend (The Captain Jack Harkness) had dressed up for anything! m4sure Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Apart from the James Marsters slot which was awesome... Ufortunately I had major problems being at the Party. Mainly with transport there and back with certain cabs. It didn't help with also forgetting my purse at the Hotel so I only had a handful of change on me which meant I couldn't buy any drinks for my pregnant daughter or I so we had to leave an hour after getting there or else we'd be stranded. I also left my camera at the hotel as well. Couldn't believe my bad luck as everything just seemed to go wrong! Just wished the venue was nearer to MK. It was so far away. I challenged him to a sing-off next time he's at one of the parties, so you all have to cheer for me! Oh, and I though the music wasn't great, couldn't get properly dancing til well late... It was OK, although: - The stage was abit small which meant more people crammed around a small area (I prefered the old venue). - James Marsters wasn't on long enough - Venue was abit too far from the MK Centre and town centre where most were staying. - No convention songs (missed those dances ) Other than that was good, keep having them. isawien Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 I agree with the stage thing, it was a tad small. And JM wasnt allowed to do too many songs, plus i think he had to head of any ways. He left the venue more or less as soon as he left the stage. The DJ before JM was a bit rubbish, but Kai and Paul made a great comedy duo, which i told Kai.
