Suprised to not see a thread about musical taste, so what's everyone into?

I love a lot of music from a lot of different genres. Various types of metal, gothic rock, blues, jazz, classical, 'world', industrial, dark techno, various types of rock and other stuff that is very hard to classify.

Cool (if not varied) list so far, as for me (if you didn't already know by looking at my signature) I love the alternative genre (Punk, Metal, Rock, Industrial et. all) but I also love contempary classical and choice cuts of Indie and Pop.

Favourite bands include: IRON MAIDEN - Have an obsession with this band like some of you have on here with shows like Heroes, Lost, Star Trek/Gate/Wars etc.

Others: Deicide, Akercocke, Dream Theater, Napalm Death, Rotting Christ, Dark Tranquility, Onslaught, Queen, Johnny Cash, Primus, The Mars Volta, Skindred, Mastodon, Slayer, Brutal Truth, The Berzerker, Panic Cell, Breed 77, Pitchshifter, Therapy?, The Damned, Muse et. all.

Country Music such as Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Faith Hill. I read something last week that gutted me. Lonestar, my favourite band in the world, have parted company with their lead singer Richie McDonald.

I also like :

Harry Secombe

Mario Lanza

Delta Goodrem

Basically i`m not bothered if someone is not considered "cool", if i like them i like them.

My fave band without a shadow of a doubt is KISS. Those guys are No.1. Apart from them I enjoy the music of: Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Guns N' Roses, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Rob Zombie and generally any other decent rock n' roll music...and also stuff by Prince, Michael Jackson and the greatest parodist of all time, "Weird Al" Yankovic

Iron Maiden are fantastic. I saw them a couple of years ago and they were amazing.

I have to agree with you there....saw them for the first time in December 06, and I came out of the gig with a smile on my face and partially deaf

Rawk!!!

Was brought up on a diet of Sabbath and Maiden and have loved every era of rock since a small child.

Oh there are just WAY too many to remember. The three I cannot live without are Sabbath, Pumpkins and MCR. All important to me for different reasons but all equally vital.

No don't go dissing my taste, each to his own and all that :D

Oh yeah and just a note to say I FINALLY, after 17 years, got to meet Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin last week. The grin is still firmly fixed on my face and I doubt it's going anywhere for a few weeks yet.

EDIT: Omg! I can't believe I forgot MUSE!!!!! idiot. Also forgot The White Stripes, The Stone Roses and The Strokes. Obviously there are tonnes more but if I listed every single one we'd be here forever.
