Dixonhill
If you look really close to the top of my left index finger, you can just make out the fracture.

Dixonhill
I was leaving the Crew party on Sat night, when I was entering the taxi to go back to the crew hotel, somehow I got my finger crushed in the taxi's door, as someone I think was closing it, it all happens so fast. The guys at the Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital were great and thanks to them for helping me. I was ticketing for ADRIAN PASDAR on sat , Sunday was down to sit with LANCE HENRIKSEN but as I was in A&E so I help with the guest talks. Dixonhill
Oooh *ouchie* Hope it's not too painful......... *shudders at broken bones* Its hurts like hell, had a check up today with the fracture clinic Dr. Dr signed me off work for a week, he said that the broken tip of my finger was protected by the finger nail and would heal back ok. Got to go back in 2 weeks. Also been told to excise the finger as well. I thinks I'm going to be in a lot of pain for a while. Trying not to catch the finger on anything as when I do it very painful. Thank you all for you kind messages. Ian xx
Showmasters Admin slaycandy Posted November 21, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 21, 2007 Hey hun, hope the finger gets better! *hugs* One good thing is that you didn't lose your fingernail in the process too, I'm just trying to find a plus side here! Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted November 22, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 22, 2007 Glad it all went OK at the fracture clinic. Do make sure you exercise it. I had an injured finger a couple of years back and it's amazing how quickly it'll seize up if you don't move it enough. Get well soon mate, see you in the New Year. Get well soon mate, see you in the New Year. i agree excersice the finger...ooo err. I once melted the tip of my finger with electricity....don't ask! and had to argue with the doctor who wanted to splint it to the next finger. the problem was I was recording an album the next day and needed to play using it. Eventually the Dr called the specialist who agreed with me that I could have the finger unsplinted. When it finally healed I'd lost hardly any of the movemt in my finger and didn't need any opporations in order to fix the ligament that had been damaged. It may be painful at the time but it's far better in the long run...trust me.
