Count Fooku
Given there is a bit of a classic sitcom/comedy theme with the Fawlty Towers guests and others and there is a bit of a war film theme with Sylvia Syms and Angus Lennie, how about some of the surving members of the Dad Army cast? I know the majority of them have since passed away but I believe there are a few of them around, Ian Lavender particularly is still working for example. mcgill
Ian Lavenday Frank Williams Bill Pertwee Clive Dunn Jimmy Perry David Croft Legends all ! Not forgetting Pam Cundell, Wendy Richard (she was Walker's girlfrield), Colin Bean (Pt Sponge) and a host of other guest stars who are still alive. They're all lovely people. Ian I know is touring theatres this autumn, and Clive lives in Portugal awaiting an eye operation (he's virtually blind), and Croft and Perry are attending another event that weekend, so they are already booked. Darth_Owl
As much as I'd love this to happen, I think it would probably be a; very difficult to get these guys in b; a bit of a let down as a reunion in terms of the type of guest available. Count Fooku
Maybe not a full blown reunion as such, I agree there aren't enough of the main cast left to make that worth doing, but just one or two guests for either this or a future show. Darth_Owl
I guess so, but I'm not sure that any of those surviving cast members are really all that representative of the show - with the obvious exception being Clive Dunn. I guess Pike was a semi-leading role too. But without Arthur Lowe and John Le Mesurier I'm not sure I'd be that bothered.

nosfer2
Probably the Dad's Army Appreciation Society (a friend of mine was a member).
richybee
Ian Lavender was asked but is not available. The Dad's Army 'LOST EPISODES' tour is going around the country at the moment and is well worth seeing. The actor who plays Frazer is brilliant! Darth_Owl
I believe that is in Sheffield at the moment - or has been recently at least. Not bothered about it though.
