But my question is...how on earth am I supposed to describe what I

look like to someone I am talking too? lol Who is it I have to speak to

Well, you could say "Tall redhead with jeans and a bright red t-shirt with "I HATE HUMANITY" on it" or whatever you're wearing. If you're average in every way you might want to stick a pin on your shirt or something if you think you'll have to be searched for. Usually I have something that identifies me - eg a jacket with a cat logo on, or a logo t-shirt.
