We are in contact with all these guests, either directly or through their managment, and we will contact the guests that you want to see! And if a guest cannot make the show or its something they do not want to do, we will go on to the next choice. So get voting and help us decide.

What an impossible choice!

 

I have seen Craig Parker and Mark Ferguson together on stage before and I definitely would like to see them again. They are very talented improvisers and are very funny entertainers; excellent value for money.

 

I'd love to see John Noble with Sean Bean and David Wenham and hear what they thought about the father/sons dynamic.

 

Craig Parker and Marton Csokas could be interesting - was Celeborn a good boss? Was it creepy having a Lady who could read your mind?

 

Viggo - well, I'd love to see Viggo but as he won't even do book signings now, I expect it's a bit of a forlorn hope. I love Showmasters to prove me wrong!

 

And I'd like to meet Karl Urban for no other reason than that I'd like to die happy!

 

Thanks to SM for staging this event. I'm sure it will be a great success whoever the guests are!

Elijah will perhaps come to Rincon in Germany so we need alternation.

This is all very exciting - I cannot wait to see what guests SM pull out the bag for this event.

 

My top 5 would be - Dom, Viggo, Orlando, Sean Bean and Ian H - Oh and I have only ever met Orli out of those but at a premiere for seconds!

Thats an impossible nightmare vote SM!! Theres far to many good guests to chose from! My top ones would be;- Ian Mckellen, Ian Holm, Liv Tyler , Sean Bean, Karl Urban, Hugo Weaving, Viggo Mortensen. I did at one point think that the likes of Ian Mckellen would be a no-hoper but after SM gave us Patrick Stewart i have more hope and faith in them getting the likes of these guys now

Of course we all want to see the big names, but on previous experience some of the best guests have been the actors and stuntmen who took smaller or multiple roles - I'm thinking Jed, Shane, Mana, Jonathan, Sandro, Jarl and Jorn, Lori etc. The MarkandCraig doubleact is a must, and I fully agree that Alan Lee and John Howe would really make the event complete.

Really want to see Paul Norell again but voted

for Marton Csorkas in 3rd choice list as have never

met before. However, if Paul could come as well,

none would be happier than me.

 

Have always admired Hugo Weaving so voted for

him in first choice list but really want to meet the

whole "A" list.

 

As someone else mentioned earlier, Missed C4 due

to stupidly booking a holiday over the event days

and Dom is the only one of the Hobbit foursome

that I have still to meet, so if that could be achieved

one day soon, that would be fantastic.

 

I've met everyone on the second choice list, so I

voted for Andy who is always so generous with his

time and has such a kind nature, although it was

touch and go between him and JRD who I imagine

would be terrific company at such an event seeing

as he is so nice at regular conventions.

 

I agree about the backroom guys and the many Orcs,

Urak-hai, Ringwraiths and stuntmen and doubles. Also,

whatabout Ngila Dickson talking about costume design

or Liz Millane taking about casting in New Zealand

or Tony Woolf about creating and teaching the cultural

fighting skills or George Marshal Ruge the Stunt-Co-ordinator

talking about his job orHoward Shore to talk about

scoring the music.

 

There are just so many people that could be invited

and they would all be so very interesting.

If I could make another choice from list 2, it would be Brad Dourif.

No extreme preference for lists 1 and 3; any of these people would be good.

Personally I voted for Cate Blanchett. Not just for the LOTR angle - she now has a major role in Indiana Jones IV, so I'll happily meet her just for that!

Cannot believe some of the names listed in the First choice section – totally unrealistic and therefore unfair to suggest they are a possibility. Surprised Peter Jackson’s has not been listed!!!

Hey Noddy, I just had a look through your old posts. Do you have anything good to say at all?

 

As to some of the guests being totally unrealistic HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?

 

I book the guests and I talk to the agents and I can tell you now none off the guests are unrealistic

 

We do not just put up the credit list from a film: it is possible to get all these guests at some times and of course not all at the same show.

 

Just remember we got 3 out of the 4 hobbits and Andy Serkis a month before the last LotR film came out and the world press could not believe we had them. They were as hot as the Beetles at that time.

 

So by now you should not underestimate who we can get. If we had your attitude we would just go for guests that are on the signing circuit and Collectormaina would not exist and the fans would not have met the 250 1st time signers we have brought to the shows over the years.

 

Its easy to trash but hard to act

What I find most bizarre about this thread is that the vast majority of people are voting for Elijah Wood. The question is "Who do you want to hang out with?". Surely, at least for the guys on the forum, that's Liv Tyler and Cate Blanchett? Both smoking hot. I can understand that the young ladies all go for Elijah, fair enough. But there's enough guys on here to swing the vote, surely?
