Narago Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 i agree about the casting issue i mean lets face it no one is going to be able to play gandalf except ian mckellan for instance and i dont think he would be interested in being in the hobbit unless PJ does direct it!! it would be so great to see the hobbit made into a film though and to see it on the big screen fingers crossed!! Ian Holm IS that part for me, I couldnt imagine anyone else doing it. Thing is they had to tape his face back for the younger Bilbo shots in LOTR so how would he shoot a whole film playing a much younger Bilbo? I haven't even heard anything of his involvement, have they ever mentioned who might play Bilbo? I would love for this film to be made but I really don't think that I'd be able to accept anyone else in those roles, sad as it sounds! IMO LOTR was perfectly cast.
