Moderators DavidB Posted May 26, 2006 Moderators Share Posted May 26, 2006 Norman Wisdom NOT joining 'EastEnders'Slapstick actor, songwriter and comedian Norman Wisdom is NOT heading for EastEnders, I can confirm. Wisdom has supposedly been signed up by the soap at the age of 91 to play the part of Billy Mitchell's (Perry Fenwick) father. A spokeswoman for the show said: "It's absolute rubbish". Well at least someone can ask him in person and find out either way!

This might have come about because Sir Norman and Mr Fenwick had dinner together (along with a whole range of other celebs and 250 fans) the weekend before at a top London hotel. feralmoggy
I doubt he'd be in Last of the Summer Wine and Eastenders at the same time!
mcgill
I doubt he'd be in Last of the Summer Wine and Eastenders at the same time! He's not in LOTSW - he only pops up occasionally as a guest, so I doubt that there would be a clash.
