timelord81r Posted June 1, 2010 Share Posted June 1, 2010 my scanner is totally s**T, the settings are rubbish so nothing scans right or can be altered to look like the photo and now with the below a4 prints it cuts some of the pic off top and bottom, the group pic had signatures along the top my scanner seems to refuse to scan no matter what, my head wants to explode, i just dont get my scanner What scanner? Is it picking the area selection itself or are you doing it manually? automatic, cant be arsed to manuel it all, though might at some point, need to clean the class also, the cmL/16 `7LFCC were done on my parents scanner, also automatic and perhaps a bit bright but I cant be arsed to fiddle with it every time and its better than mine lol, though with the marco polo ones both dont scan it well, and both cut bits off all the photos edges, not massive but its noticeable to my eye Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sometimes it fails to detect where the actual edge is. Also most instruction manuals will tell you to place the document at the top left/right. However I have found that a lot of scanners will always miss out the first few millimetres of the document along the top and left/right edges. Sometimes the instruction manual will warn you about this. You actually have to move the the document away from the edges of the scanning glass to enable it to scan everything.
