A couple collectors that I met at the previous Empire Day had mentioned in the ED16 forum that they had quite extensive collections.

That was the inspiration for me to put my collection back online. I have still quite a few items to scan, but the first 558 items are currently online.

Thanks!

Nice collection Mark You've got some nice ones there. You've even got Silas Carson

later on in the year, i was thinking of doing the same thing.

As i am starting my collection again, i though that i might as well have photos with all the guests and get them to sign my poster (STILL haven't decidd on one guys :P ) at each event i go to.

I will then post my poster with autos on the net along with a review and photos from the event.

Something to do i guess :P

Thanks for the kind words, people.

As for Carson, I met him at a show in California in 2003

Hi Mark

Cool collection! I saw you recently got a piece signed by the elusive Bronagh Gallagher. Was this through the post or did you meet her?

The reason I am asking is because I am lucky enough to have the pilot seats from the Radiant VII used in TPM in my collection. I managed to get hold of a signed 8x10 of Silas as the co-pilot from Jason's pals at Autographica, but I have had no luck getting old of one of Bronagh as the Captain...

I think she does more theatre work than TV or movies, and I believe she has never done a public or private signing...

Any advice about getting a signature from her would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Nick

I have Wes McGann too FON.

Has anyone already got any of the confirmed guests for ED17? I noticed a few american websites have Mike Savva and David Sexton, how did they get them? unless they did shows over there or contacted agents.

How did you get the rare ones - Harrison Ford, George Laucas, etc?

955192[/snapback]

A very close friend of mine (who lives 10 minutes away from me) who's a wellknown person in the dutch moviescene actually met them!

Harrison, Natalie, Lucas, Sam Jackson, etc etc...he even got me Spielberg (he has met him 3 times)

I really envy him: His StarWars collection only consists of a couple of photos....but he has a personalised Natalie Portman Episode II photo!

Greg,

Impressive collection, to be sure, but there are quite a few items that look rather fishy to me.

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but I'm quite certain your Mark Hamill and Alec Guinness are not the real thing.

Your Padmé doesn't seem to be signed at all, or is it just me?

The multiple Christensen, Portman, Ewan from AOTC (Geonosis on the back of the Reek) are definately NOT the real thing.

Same problem with the Hamill, Fisher, Ford in the Death Star corridor.

Even your 'Barrie Holland C3' is a terrible fake, while he is easy to get. I've worked with him before. His autograph doesn't look like that at all!

The Luke/Biggs combo: Biggs is the real thing, Luke is fake!

The Artoo/Threepio combo (black/white) in the Tative IV corridor is a screaming fake as is the Vader/Leia combo in the detention cell.

The worst, and probably most expensive one in your collection, must be the B/W Vader/Leia/Governor Tarkin. Not one of them is the real thing!

I see you obtain quite a few items from eBay and dealers. Remember the FBI report? 95% of the eBay items are fake.

You need to take a whole lot more care in doing research and finding out about the history of the pieces you aquire. It's a shame to see a fan waste so much money on items that aren't even worth the paper they are signed on.

Like I said, mate, don't mean to burst your bubble, but I think - as an avid collector and crusader against fake autographs myself (the very reason why I started the Bounty Hunter in the first place) - it was my obligation to point out your fakes to you.

Feel free to ask reputable dealers in the UACC for reference.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I'm sure this comes as a blow.
