Jedi__Wayne
Bond - the rolling clue earlier in this thread must refer to the great rolling car stunt. So it has to be Clifton James. Fantastic guest if it is. Wanted to meet him ever since I was a kid. And my fave type of Bond guest, the really memorable characters.
Jedi__Wayne
rainmac - Red Buttons was in a 60s tv show called The Double Life of Henry Phyfe, which was about spies. So maybe he wore a rainmac in that. And hes in Poseidon. He'd be a brilliant guest.
Bohan
Has to be red buttons, people were guessing Evel Knievel due to the "wheelie" cue, Red Buttons starred in the movie "Viva Knievel!" with Evel.
Moderators Dave Phillips Posted September 16, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2005 Hello Guys It,s not Red Buttons and nothing to do with Evel Kneivel. And it,s not John Saxon. Keep trying Dave
spgyid
could the 'dr.jones, never graced these shores' comment mean Grace Jones (Bond guest). didnt she wear a rainmac in View to a Kill. total guess!!

Jedi__Wayne
rainmac - possibly got it - Pamela Sue Martin Shes in Poseidon Adventure in the 70s she played Nancy Drew on tv (doesn't that character wear a rainmac?) and she was going to be at another show the same weekend as Autographica but now shes not (the bit about not being quite fast enough to get her, but now shes coming) So, my guesses - Clifton James & Pamela Sue Martin Edited September 16, 2005 by Jedi__Wayne
Guest Dr jones
Yer the Bond guest has got to be Clifton James!! I havent got his autograph so it would be great if it was him! He was in 2 Bond films as the same character, he lives in the US and has never come over to the UK to do a signing and he's a memorable character. dufresne
Clifton would be cool to meet, but I have theautos I want from both his Bonds on my poster already. Hoping for JDB, and Robbie Coltrane would be OFF THE HOOK !

Bohan
and Robbie Coltrane would be OFF THE HOOK ! I saw Robbie down Shaftsbery Avenue last week, he refused to sign for people though and just walked away and got into his car.

See I can understand saying no if you're just walking down the street in your own time. Maybe at a proper "event" he would be different ... Guest Dr jones
I thought about Robbie Coltrane but then again he lives in the UK and the clue said something like "never graced are shores before" so i thought it would have to be someone from the US. Thats why i think its Clifton James

USA ..... END ! Bond of all franchises, the guest could be of ANY nationality !

I cant think of anyone else who would fit the bill. I did think of Eva Rueber-Staier who is from Austria and played Rublevitch in both TSWLM and OP - but she was acutally in another Bond film - FYEO but was credited as Eva Reuber-Staier. So in reality she was in 3 Bond films as the same character but as for names sake only 2. - I thought maybe Dave was going to toil with us but im probaly totally wrong lol --- so bring on Clifton James! Moderators Dave Phillips Posted September 17, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2005 Well i will confirm one thing. The "graced our shores bit" is nothing to do with Grace jones. But i guess you guys will just have to hang in there until tomorrow to find out who it is. You will not be dissapointed. See you all tomorrow Dave
