Smaug
Toady just gave me a link to a site that makes this thread virtually obsolete! www.find-dvd.co.uk It lists all the locations online that sell the DVD you're searching for and lists them cheapest first. So you can compare prices! However these are online prices, and for currently released (due) DVD's. But look around the site as there are a lot of useful links...! Below are the websites it compares... DVD.co.uk ChoicesUK Blah DVD Play DotcomDVD Bensons World SendIt.com SelectCheaper DVD Source Amazon UK TaxFreeDVD 101 CD DVD Popcorn PowerPlayDirect Filmnight Foxy The Hut DVD World Tesco Woolworths HMV WH Smith Prism Direct CD WOW! Gameseek Temple Games CD Selections Empire Direct Loaded 247 Store4DVD Amazon Jersey DVD Plus SavaPoint BBC Shop Crotchet Music Tesco Jersey Entertain Today Hong Kong Legends MovieMail WH Smith (Jersey) LX Direct ILC Sport Direct Bang CD
crippsy_99
I sometimes use that site, but search for CSI for example and it doesnt bring up half the boxed sets! Last time I looked, NY wasnt coming up (and it was out) nor was I think it was Miami season 1 part 2.. Think even one of the LV ones wasnt showing up So threads like this are still useful in times like that Theres also http://www.find-games.co.uk/ and http://www.find-cd.co.uk/, plus a book one but as I dont buy books, I havnt got the link for that one stored, but probably http://www.find-books.co.uk/ Edited March 17, 2006 by crippsy_99

surfy_sah
no worries Tru! Luv sah xx ps-great list of sites there! personally I use mainly Play and CD-wow and am branching into Sendit and have ordered one thing from DVD.co.uk, cause it was cheapest there than a bunch of places I tried because all these ones have free postage where as Amazon and the supermarkets etc don't so it's highly unlikely they'll be cheapest time you wack a few quid on p&p I registered with an Oz dvd site too the other day to get Scrubs s3 r2&4 for like £17 inc delivery but I don't like to have accounts with MOUNDS of internet sites, it's just impractical and then your mailbox is FULL of mailshots from them all aaaaanyways! yey for CSI s5! SerbianJanet
This is Quinny here (Smaug) I'm up in Sunderland staying with Toady hence the reason I'm on her account...! You only have the mailshots because you ticked the box saying that you want to hear from them about any new offers they had. Plus there is a legal requirment to have an unsubscribe at the bottom of emails send to subscribers. So hit that and you'll be all set. Every time I join another DVD site I make sure that I have all the boxes ticked/unticked that are needed :) OH make sure that the third party one is ticked/unticked as needed. Third party mailings BITE. This informational broadcast was brought to you by Quinny, of the email broadcasting profession.
