Kali was Cecily in a flashback episode of Spike's (Fool For Love I believe), and that she returns in Season Seven as a vengeance demon, and they recognise each other from back in the day ("Cecily?" "William?") - one of Joss's great continuity plots for the observent! before Spike was a vampire, he was besotted with Cecily, and wrote her all that dull as dishwater poetry (bless him :)).
