martine Posted December 27, 2004 Share Posted December 27, 2004 hmmm after reading this thread i'm a little bit worried. i too wonder now IF the event is still happening. a simple YES or No would be great. and i understand people saying that SM are bussy or on a holiday etc....... BUT this is starting to get a serious rumour and it needs to be delt with. like so many people said before it's a buisness and they owe customers an anwser. (people who have to ask free from work, who come from abroad etc...) and c'mon a simple yes or a no isn't taking up that much of SM's time. i really enjoyed LFCC2 and i hope the event will continue but time will tell... Ok lets look at the facts btw I am not trying to cause trouble or scare monger people, its just basic facts that seem to put it all in doubt! Firstly I saw this thread the same day I was told by someone who works for showmasters about LFCC 3 being in jepardy, if showmasters want to contact me I can give them this persons name, but I am not posting it on here and its NOT a dealer, but a very reliable source. I looked at the forum and noticed that Dean Stockwell and the other guest havent been officially announced or the website updated. After viewing this thread and seeing other peoples comments I looked at wembley events and indeed its not listed. Showmasters were on the forum yesterday as are most days and I am sure have seen this topic a simple statement or post from them to confirm that this is going ahead to clear this up should of been done, however as they havent commented on this at all I am in more doubt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IF Showmaster confirmed that it is still going ahead as planned, then I am big enough to put my hands up and say I was wrong and that I'm sorry for doubting SM. BUT are all of you who say ("have patience", "Give SM time", "You're not worried because it's still going ahead") big enough to put your hands up and admit you were wrong when the Event gets cancelled??? Not only that - but alot of places are shut in the States for the Christmas holidays so perhaps they are still waiting on contracts to be returned to them. Showmasters are probably wanting a break themselves over the Christmas period, hence the not responding to certain threads - maybe they're just on their forums to socialise rather than "do work" so to speak. Rumours are just that - so until Showmasters actually make an official statement about this event I wouldn't personally worry too much They've not let us down before and I've always found them to come good so have patience - I'm sure they'll make an announcement soon. Showmasters are probably wanting a break themselves over the Christmas period, hence the not responding to certain threads - maybe they're just on their forums to socialise rather than "do work" so to speak. it's not about the guest announcements. i don't care if there will only be 10 or thirty guests in the end. the problem which is adressed here is the following: is lfcc3 still going ahead? like someone said before. this topic was started before christmass and showmasters where on the forum a lot. a simple yes or no or maybe we are not sure yet etc... would not be too much trouble. especially if the rumours are spreading and growing each day( which this one does rapidly). if i was an organiser i would want to put a stop to this if it was false because it starts affecting one credibillaty. but i really hope this rumour is false because i really enjoyed the last lfcc. SM don't post guest announcements they make with flyers on the forum but, yes, they normally update the website. re: website, this has already covered, people might want to read back as I am not going to repeat myself reasons why it has not been updated have been suggested! another point to consider is that the CM page hasn't been updated with the new guests either. perhaps SM plan to do both LFACC and CM sites together after the NY? I may be slightly biased with all my "have faith in SM" posts as I do crew for them and are more loyal to their events than others (but that's for another thread) but I really do believe IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM THEY WOULD TELL US! Whether you support Showmasters or not, all we can really do is wait for them to post so perhaps we should stop the speculation? Within a couple of weeks after LFCC1 the first guests for LFCC2 were pinned on the forum, same with all the collectormania events. This is what concerns me the most as the flyers were given out during LFCC2, this might of all been changed since, with the much speculated "loss of money" at LFCC2. A few days before Christmas, and now it is the 28th Dec. Christmas is over now so that is no excuse. Maybe because it's Bank Holiday still that's why we haven't heard anything, but it's back to normal tomorrow 6 days is a long time to have NO response whatsoever. There could be any number of reasons why they have not responded and why this has not been updated. Maybe they do actually have a life outside organising these events. They are only human, not superhuman and they do not have control over the universe! Cmon guys I am sure they will post soon. Also rumour mongering is not a good idea, believe me. I don't understand the first sentance, yes indeed the only thing about guests for LFACC3 ARE the flyers from LFACC2.... I am pretty sure that guests on flyers DO NOT get pinned as announcments on the forum - take a look at the c7 section. if you search for posts about announcements, you get the ones from before Christmas and THAT'S IT! you do not get the people announced on the flyer at c6 but these are on the website for everyone to see I think people mis-understand me or I should have phrased what I said differently: IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM THEY WOULD TELL US! this was in ref to the event being CANCELLED not general probs!
