sakara
I was wondering why some poeple insist on have signatures that are sometime longer than some long posts!.... over 10 lines of different quotes and references....I often have to scroll through these just to get to the relevant post. Just an annoyance that is all. I can understand a favourite quote and say your msn/aim/yim tag but over 10 different quotes that is a bit much. sorry to gripe but needed to get it off my chest. lotrlover
i guess people see it as a part of the forum to express alot ofthemselves instaed of writing it in every time they say something!! i must admit mine is pretty long!!!!!! but u can hide them ... just to let ya know
Shirefruit
LOL don't worry Sakara I can't wade through them all either! If you go to My Controls at the top of the page, then board settings, you can choose not to see them on the page. That's what I've done! Hope this helps! sakara
I didnt know you could hide them As i said one or two quotes are normal fro most messeging forums, this seems to be the only one where the quotes signature outnumbers the posts! Moderators DavidB Posted October 12, 2004 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2004 And just to let people know that TAGS such as etc DON'T work in signatures, I've seen some people with them but it won't work, as won't HTML links and IMG so yeah, not much point having them there

Logan's_girl
some forums limit the amount of space someone's sig can be...for example you can have a normal sized pic and only 2 lines of text or no pic and 8 lines of text. That way it stops them being long. But mine is long because on all the other boards it can't be long! And i had to cut my sig as well...it was ten times this size. There are a lot of good quotes on Alias!
Danni09
Wow I didn't know you could turn them off. Thanks! Although it's a shame as I like reading the shorter ones
yeltz-lass
I like reading people's sigs, and my own's not exactly short and snappy - but to be honest I do think that some of the really long ones are taking the ****.

yeltz-lass
It's certainly a good thing to know, I agree - mind you, I have to admit that I'd miss all the good sig lines if I did that! I can't win! Edited October 12, 2004 by yeltz-lass
