Well, I thought I'd start this thread because I'm sure everyone is aware of the huge group of people who crew at Showmasters events, and I've worked at a couple now and yet I don't know EVERYONE there, I thought this would be a good chance for everyone to introduce themselves and get to know each other? Just an idea! So maybe if people can write their names and whether they've worked before or if they're newbies ... a little detail about urself, and maybe a pic or something? Maybe even MSN/Yahoo IDs so we can all chat before? I think it'd make working at events even better if we all know each other a little more, especially when I know there's so many new people this time!! Note: This is NOT a thread for comments about crew, and what jobs they do, and how they perform. Simply I want to create a thread where everyone can get to know each other - keep it friendly please! Previous Experience: Collectormania 4, I got to work on the information desk. London Film and Comic Con - I helped out on the Friday a bit, doing the photos etc, and then I helped on Saturday and Sunday full days both days - I took money on the Sat, and I sat with Thomas Robins and then Cirroc Lofton on the Sunday. Collectormania 5, I took cash for Craig Parker on the first day, and then had the pleasure of sitting with Corin Nemec, Clint Howard, and Harry Sinclair on the other days! Good Idea Vido...Oh well this is me: Previous Experience: London Film and Comic Con - I helped out with the setup on the Friday and then I helped on Saturday with the virtual que board and after having half the day off on Saturday (to fulfill a certain 10 year+ ambition) I worked on the door then at the Red Dwarf talk. Collectormania 5, I sat with Leo Rossi on the friday then after a day off on the saturday did ticketing for Corin Nemec and Ray park on the sunday and Gates McFadden on the monday and ended up doing cash for Denise Crosbie at some point in the procedings (I did end up doing rather a lot of different Jobs that weekend!) Previous experience C5 - i did ticketing everyday and got pretty tiring after a while but it was the parties and the drinking you really gotta look forward too, i ticketed some hefty queues so its not easy when you get tarts trying to get in early or claiming they lost there ticket and that, so watch out for those. It was amazing to crew even if i ticketed a lot, i did sit with cornin nemic for a long while and being a with a guest who you can communicate well with is amazing, possibley the best job is being a runnerbecause you can get around and meet everyone, so pray you are a runner!
