You really should've realised by now that David is a Showmasters, pom-pom waving stooge, and expressing opinions of any kind that might be deemed to be subversive (ie negative, in an attempt to let SM's know many of us are not impressed with a lot of the C6 and LFCC2 announcements) will garner nothing but abuse from him. At what point have SM said that it is going to be a major Stargate Atlantis reunion instead of Aliens? hmmm, Well there you go, they havent have they! Has it not crossed your mind that Collectormania is in two weeks time! Dont you think that they are busy trying to get this show sorted with last minute guest annoucements, staffing, flights etc. etc. etc? In addition this time they are organising a huge party on the Saturday evening for you all! I am sure that SM will be annoucing a lot more Aliens guests after Collectormania has finished! You just have to have a little patience that's all. Most actors will not confirm right until the last possible moment because they might get an acting job (Remember we are talking about working actors you know!). You might ask yourself well I have not seen such and such in a movie for ages. The chances are they are doing theatre some where! Take Sigourney for example she starts Mrs Farnsworth at the flea theatre in New York next month! Nobody has requested these guests, i thought showmasters listen to the fans? This show has not even aired in this country and has not even built up any kind of fanbase, yet showmasters announce 5 guests from the show, why??? What about shows like Farscape, 24, smallville etc that have dedicated fanbases already and have fans crying out for guest announcements, why ignore these shows and opt for stargate? There are 2 very well know con organisers in this country who hold regular stargate conventions, why not leave it to them? Because i am sure they will have the at atlantis guests soon enough! And what has happened to all the aliens guests, when are they going to be announced (another event already has a bigger name from the franchise!)? What isn't there to be impressed about? There will be numerous long term Stargate fans who will be very happy. And on a personal note..I wish some people would stop being so bloody selfish. Just because Showmasters, or any convention organiser cannot get the guest you want, it does not make them bad in any sort of way. Do the people that moan, and mean it with a passion, know the work schedules of the guests you want. An instant example is Amanda Tapping having to cancel for Collectormania. And just because another convention organiser predominantly holds SG1 events, does that mean no one else can? Just because the guest at the event a few weeks after Collectormania is a more familiar face due to his appearances in Millenium, X-Files, AVP and other productions, how do yo uknow that he was available for LFACC2? You don't. Know of you do. At Collectormania Nick Brendan, Tom Lenk, Danny Strong and Adam Busch are appearing. Does the fact that one other long time convention organiser specialises in Buffy/Angel mean that Sowmasters shouldn't have got them? There are some people that need to stop being selfish and see the bigger picture. You can stamp your feet and demand this guest and that. Showmasters may well listen to fans.. I worship at the SM throne too - they brought me Robocop, spam Galore, all 4 hobbits and will soon bring me half the A Team, Mini me and Lois Lane, but they are not infallible, and I make no apology for voicing my opinion good or bad. I am pleased that they have got the Atlantis people. I think it is amazing how SM uses their POWER of getting any TV or film guest for a weekend. Just stop and think for a moment....SM phones MANY famous people and ask if they are able to attend and uses their jedi powers to make them come and meet the fans.
