In between [ img ] and [/ img ] you place the URL of the picture (take the spaces out). That is the only way you can do it.

 

Pictures have to be uploaded to a server to be able to be displayed on the forum. That way they get an URL. An URL looks like this:

 

http://www.vaguely-me.com/poke.jpg

 

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but I'm covering all bases.

 

If your image isn't uploaded. You can get space at photobucket or similar photo hosting. But you can't link from web hosts such as Angelfire or geocities as they dont permit hotlinking (thats what its called when you "take" a pictures URL and post the pic any where else other than the site it was intended for).

 

To get an URL you"right click" the picture and click properties. The window that opens has the URL next to "URL:"
