Posting images from PHOTOBUCKET

Recommended Posts

hello I hope this is the right place to post this topic...

I saved a bunch of images to my photobucket area instead of linking them directly from the web so not to use up people's bandwith...

but I keep getting this error message: :P

THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

this is the address of the image I tried to link

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/sur...sah/karlbed.bmp

I don't understand why it won't work, how should I be linking the images if not by right clicking, properties then c&p the url?

please help!!!

surfy sah xx

BMP files are usually higher quality files, therefore the size of the files are usually bigger. I think this forum might not allow BMP posting ... just GIF and JPG files because they are lower file sizes so load quicker. U'll have to save it as a JPG and upload it again if u wanna post it ... that's what I'm assuming anyway.

I mainly use Photobucket personally. I know others have recommended imageshack.us, but I have no personal experience there.

If you want just post the link here, then I'll have a look what the problem may be. Maybe it's the file size. The forum did have some odd error messages lately. =/

EDIT-- haha, did i just need to post the link itself? not in the image url space? lol, problem solved. I will probably do a few more test in this thread if thats ok.
