The guests will have been informed about the change before the announcement,  and I imagine contracts rolled over to next year. Anyone unable to attend next year would have been cancelled prior to the announcement.

I note that the 2027 date is a couple of weeks later than that for 2026, being mid August. Which puts it after the 2 week peak holiday period at the end of the school term, instead of before.

And in the middle of the 6 week school holidays.

Not sure how the later 2027 dates fall in relation to US shooting dates - I think this will still be before filming starts on most shows.

Do you reckon this will mean more or fewer attendees?

Well, in my mind people will have already had their big holiday and overspent on that, meaning less money for other things when they come home, including conventions?
