Is it me or is there minimal fan excitement and organiser attention on this event this year?

Oddly, this is shaping up to be my best LFCC in years. Guest list in double figures, more than one diamond pass for the first time ever, eyeing up a couple of duo photoshoots and I’ve even ordered a commission from one of the comic artists. I’m starting to wonder if I might need to come back on the Sunday to finish off.

It will probably pick up closer to the event. I think it depends on the fan, I'm usually more excited about the event the closer we get to it.

Same, I'm looking at more for each day, than the last three years combined. I'm even trimming people of my to meet list as it stands

I’m not yet trimming, but I’m conscious that I may have to if I add many more, both for budgetary and time considerations.

Thats my thinking as well, for a less stressful weekend, and can relax that bit more and enjoy it

As it is, i'm trying to avoid trimming people but i'm down to trimming items, but really its all going to come down to how much funds i'll have come the day itself either from borrowing money from my folks and what i can manage to save up inspite of how much i'm already paying off, but so far i am hopeful

Maybe stop selling autographs for  Elizabeth Dulau on the sales website? I bought one just before the cancellation, also, maybe announce the cancellation on more than just the forum? many thanks

If this is not allowed i'll delete it, but the mods have long since left home. I'm stepping quite literally beyond my comfort zone to raise money for charity, so any money will help.

Martin Fahey is fundraising for Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services (ADSS)

I think it's advertisements for other cons and businesses that are not allowed, so your link should be fine.

Yeah probs not going this year :(

Not worth your while? I’ve had a few years like that. I once showed up with a few maybes on my list but left without meeting any of them. I bought a £40 Lego minifig so that it wasn’t a wasted trip.

Yeah it's feeling that way. Some of the last ones I've gone to have felt that way but this year it's kinda to the point where I don't know if I can really be bothered to buy tickets and the train fare and spend the whole day in London for it. Which is a shame, cause I used to live for comic con excitement. But maybe next year I'll be back.

Maybe a year off will be good for you, if last year didnt give you the same "buzz" as before. And then next year you'll be missing it a lot more and have more fun if (when) you do go.

The guests seem to be starting to get bigger again, which I am hoping is a trend that will continue.

Photoshoots A and B are usually pretty close together, right? I’ve got a slight clash on the Saturday, but a diamond pass for the earlier start, so it should be doable. Right?
