  1. well i can understand how disappointing it should be, especially for your friend from Asia, i'm myself disappointed as i especially bought the clockwork orange dvd hoping to have it signed. But come on, who are you expecting as a suitable replacement??? Don't you think Christopher Lloyd is already a suitable one? Aren't all the big names suitable "replacements" already??? Of course i'm not against the idea of another big name announced but the line up so far is already tremendous imo!
  2. This is f***n unbelievable!!!! I always wanted to meet him, thank you thank you thank you!!!!
  3. Is it me or i can't see Lorenzo Lamas being listed? His days are not announced as well on the website... Is it smelling cancellation?
  4. Great guest Showmasters!!! Not as 'big' as Malcom McDowell or John Hurt imo, but still a big name indeed. Thank you for allowing us to meet people that are playing in movies, and not only tv shows... Not everybody is a fan of 'Heroes' or 'Angel' or 'Buffy'... and everytime you announce a 'big name' i'm expecting someone from the movies... So not deceived once again, you told the truth, he's definitely a big name! After all, it's London FILM and comic con...
  5. Am wondering the same, as i am very interested in attending but would first like to know with which photoshoots the talk will interfere (if any)
  6. John Hurt John Landis Malcom McDowell Karen Allen Brad Dourif Udo Kier Carrie Henn and Lorenzo Lamas (for my mom )
  7. He was also the producer of one of my all time favorite tv show, 'Dream On' so i voted other as i'm gonna make him sign my season 1&2 DVD boxset More 'Dream On' guests please! (just asking )
  8. Now THAT'S what i call a guest announcement !
  9. Well it's funny i'm reading this topic as i just found a webpage some days ago where someone talks about his meeting with Bruce, so i thought i should share as apparently there's many false ideas about Bruce's attitude towards the fans Taken from http://www.iconsoffright.com/Meet.htm Bruce Campbell Ok, I had met Bruce Campbell (the legendary Ash of the Evil Dead films) for the third time before this picture was taken, but every single time, he is everything you'd expect. Very funny and playful, and although he picks on you the second he eyes you over, it's because he really does love & appreciate his fans. I noticed one interesting thing about him... when talking to a table of fans over breakfast, he really likes to hear what they had to say. Where they come from, what they do. The works. He's an average guy & pokes fun at you if you look at him any differently then as an average guy himself. Also, his Q & A sessions border on stand up comedy, so try to check him out at one of these events. More genre people should take a cue from this man. He signed all my stuff for FREE on all 3 occasions. (I did have to buy his book though, which I would've bought anyways.) -rg. 8/02 So why not try to have him ?
  10. Still no news from my William Mapother one taken on the saturday here...
  11. Hell yes, Long live T-Bag. YES !!! Prison Break guests and especially Robert Knepper who plays T-BAG ! I think a lot of people would like to meet him. He's number one on my wanted guests list which also includes ALI LARTER, Heroes, Final Destination JENNIFER CARPENTER, Dexter, Exorcism of Emily Rose SCOTT BAKULA, Code Quantum WALTON GOGGINS, The Shield House of the 1000 Corpses & Devil's Rejects cast : SID HAIG, BILL MOSELEY and SHERI MOON ZOMBIE also... DANNY TREJO please !!!
  12. Well everyone has its priorities and I think should act in consequence... I don't agree with people saying that photoshoots are useless as for example, I don't really give a damn about autographs... What I like IS indeed to have a photo taken with the guests and that's the main reason I was at LFCC this year. Photoshoots don't always prevent fans to take pictures with the guests on the table, as I had an excellent one with Nana Visitor who was doing a photoshoot... I guess it depends on the guests and, in the case of William Mapother, I'm sure that was his choice like it has been said before not to let people think they spend money for nothing in a photoshoot with him. He's too humble and nice to prevent people taking a pic with him in other circumstances. And, honestly, I would have make the same choice. I'm not an autograph collector, but a photo collector, I don't spend money in the stalls whether I spend a lot in photoshoots or not. Please don't put anybody in the same bag by saying "you should let the guests sign more and don't waste time in photoshoots" or "I would buy more if...". As far as I'm concerned, I would have spend more money in photoshoots if there were more, but I wouldn't have made the trip only for autographs. When I paid for an auto, I was only looking for a posed picture and the auto was just an extra. I took my precautions by preordering photoshoots tickets as I could guess not all guests that were doing one would allow it while signing. So really I think the organisers try to satisfy as much people as they can as they know all people don't have the same interests.
  13. Here are some of mine... Yep, I'm in love with Nana so what ???
  14. William Mapother was a perfect guest indeed, he absolutely wanted to speak to me in French and did well ! His also made his dedication in french so I guess it makes it even more special now ! Billy West and Michael Gross were both amazing as well, as they took time with each fan, talking and joking. That was great to meet them. Robert Englund gave me an appointment next month in Belgium so I'll be there ! He was a very nice person even if I my life flashed before my eyes when I was in the photoshoot :) And finally... well... I felt in love with Nana Visitor . Point. Her kiss alone made my trip worth it ! Amazing show, and amazing guests ! (at least on saturday as I didn't come on sunday)
  15. Well, I only came there on saturday and I really had a great day then. I didn't know what to expect as I was there for the first time, and I was afraid this was going to be very "commercial", I mean guests only signing autographs and exchange some quick words but all the guests I met gave me the impression they enjoyed meeting us as we enjoyed meeting them. As far as I'm concerned, they were all very kind (William Mapother talking to me in french is a great souvenir). The organisation is perfect, the crew staff being very kind as well... it's not always the case elsewhere... So a very good souvenir for me. I'm finally glad I came only on saturday as I think it was much more difficult to see the guests on sunday. Unfortunately, this is the weakest point : too many big names on sunday only. It was really hard to see Dom Monaghan on saturday (arriving there at about 10.00am I get number 516... at 16:15 the queue was "1 to 400" ???) so I guess that was hell on earth on sunday ! Try to have some on both days next time please.
  16. Wow, I received some of mine this week and, that may sound stupid, but I find the tickets themselves really cool ! Great design ! Unfortunately most of the events tickets nowadays (gigs, shows...) are just simple grey ones with some data on it (name of the event, time and place...) no pic, and no pleasure to keep them as a souvenir... So I was wondering if the tickets are taken back or torned by the staff at the event ? That would be really sad according to their quality. It would be great if we can take them back home as they are.
  17. Ooouch, real sad to read that... I can only come on Saturday so I miss Heroes guests and Patrick Stewart, and Michael Biehn was one of the two remaining guests I really wanted to meet (w Dom Monaghan), so I'm really disappointed but guess there's worse things in life anyway ! Just a question left : I know the photoshoot session will be refund, but will there be another one planned with another guest to "replace" it or will William Mapother photoshoot take place earlier due to this ?
  18. OK, I guess i do not have to worry then... Thanks to all for your answers !
  19. Well, I have to leave the show at about 17.15-17.30 on saturday because of my train, and I bought a photoshoot session with some guests including William Mapother, which take place at 3.00, so my question is will I get the picture in time before I leave ? If not, will it be send to me even as I live in Belgium, or at least scanned digitally and emailed to me ? How does it work in this case ? Thanks.
