  1. Is there likely to be a third X-Files film does anyone know?? ;-P
  2. I'd like to add thanks from wifey and myself to Ruth as well, for how well she handled the queue during the massive delay. She was firm but polite to those who were trying to get in the queue before their number was called, and also very calm and reassuring to those already waiting. She couldn't tell us when he would be back (communication issues between areas always a problem at these events, maybe use runners/messengers?!), but was in no way rude or unhelpful. Also want to say the girl taking the cash for him was lovely as well, very friendly, smiley and great customer service skills :-)
  3. Although Hayden's talk started late, it also finished late, so I believe it was the advertised 30 mins (once Hayden had organized the mic and the queue for people to ask questions! Why she had to do this herself though, god only knows!) I was keeping close eye on the time because the Gillian Anderson talk was five mins after Hayden was due to finish. I actually got the Gillian talk about ten mins late after legging it from Hayden talk as soon as it wrapped up. Luckily though the Gillian talk was also behind schedule and hadn't started! I do agree that the talks need better organization though, as I thought it was appalling that Hayden had to sort out the mic for fans to ask questions, and organize where they'd wait for to ask their question (as the mic lead wouldn't stretch more than about 3 metres)..... Also the sound was awful in the main stage area. Gillian couldn't hear half the questions being asked, and it appears the audience couldn't hear half the answers as a couple of times the same questions were asked several times!! Future theatre work and X-Files films anyone?!? :-P
  4. For the paid talks are we going to be called in row numbers, or is it going to be a free-for-all queue with everyone filing in together then finding their row? And is the hall going to be loaded from the start time advertised or as soon as everyone is out from the previous one? I ask because we've paid for the Hayden talk and a lot for the Gillian talk, with a whole 5 minutes between the end of Hayden talk and start of Gillian talk, in another area! I know we're going to be near front of both due to our low ticket numbers but I'm worried if we wait until end of Hayden talk to go to area for Gillian's, my wife and I won't get seats together and will end up at the far ends of our row. Is it worth walking out of Hayden's before the end and getting to Gillian's a bit earlier because we're called up in rows, or just leaving it and hoping we can get seats together? I don't want to leave Hayden's talk early only to be at the back of a free-for-all queue to get into the hall, and still risk not finding seats together.
  5. Oh no, my secret love for all things Xena is going to be exposed!!! Bad SM BAD!
  6. I did a little sort of cheerleader ( ) mash potato type mix of dance moves whilst sat on the sofa with my laptop haha i would hate to have had anybody see that I'm sure it was a sat down version of what I witnessed! Except there a strange leg jig thing involved in our lounge....
  7. Gotta say....I never thought I'd see my wife doing a happy dance because of a guest announcement. But that's what I've just witnessed. THE one guest that she'd put before all others has been secured by Showmasters. Thank you all so much for this! And the chaos that we expect to be part of (proud survivor of legendary Heroes scrum here ;-P)
  8. Yup! Love love love her books. The Otherworld is a fantastic series in my opinion - more "real" than a lot of similar stuff out there at the moment for sure. And she's absolutely lovely too.
  9. Need advice/help with a problem I've spotted now the schedule is available. My wife and I are going both days and have got standard entry tickets, as we don't anticipate anyone we want to see being mega-busy. As we've gone standard we've been able to afford to get photoshoot tickets with Miriam Margoyles. Whose photo session is between 10.50 and 11.05 !?!?! That gives us a whole 5 minutes to get into the venue and find the photoshoot area. And that's if the shoot hasn't already wrapped up. What should we do, given that we only have the photo tickets due to saving money on entry tickets? And can't afford early bird tickets as well. Any help much appreciated....
  10. My wife and I would be there except there's a big family occasion which we have to attend on the Saturday. Regarding the line up - we went to every one of the Eclipse cons and had a brilliant time each and every time. We didn't go to the parties (except casino one for an hour as I just couldn't resist!) and so our brilliant time was purely down to the guests, whether there were 4 or 6 there, whether they were "main" cast or not. I'm sure it will be the same with Bitten and all the guests that attend will be fab to spend time with. We love True Blood and pretty much all the characters/cast so if there was another event in the future we would be there. With bells on.
  11. I've loved 101 Dalmations, the original Disney animation, since I was a kid but we can't have furry pets in our rented house so no dogs. We do however have tropical fish. My "babies" are our dalmation mollies which are called Anita and Perdita. They are so entertaining - silly fat funny fish!
  12. Yes please! I'd absolutely love to meet this legend, am gutted I can't get to London on Saturday for the show, but would definitely be in Brum on the Sunday for this!!
  13. It's true - the divine Eliza has confirmed it on twitter: "elizadushku Hear it here. Hey, that's really why I started twitter, the rumors/news IS true: Dollhouse will not cont. past these 13 eps " Gutted yet another of Joss's fab shows is finished.
  14. Well, for my twopenneth worth, we had a fab day today. Admittedly, the weather treated us kinder than it seems to have the past 2 days, but as for the layout, guest positioning, dealers etc my wife and I thought SM did a good job with limited options. It was definitely better than not having a CM MK this year, and we're very much looking forward to next years, which will be indoors in the main exhibition hall at the stadium (which is still not finished, which is outside SM's control...). Hey Psychosis, knew you were a potter, so glad to hear you're not a Valiant! You go to the Britannia often? Or just on the one day of summer when you need cooling off? lol
  15. Come and see me, but there really isn't much room for moving people about. Thanks TT - you weren't around when we registered so will try and catch you early Saturday - ta. Don't know if this helps or not, but I am in the same group as your ticket number 46 (Ashley's talk on Saturday) my friend, who would have also been there, isn't going to be able to make it so there is a space. Thank you much for this!! We'll probably take you up on it for the Sunday (Ntare's GE), and see if we can get in group with ticket 45 for Ashley's - also on Sunday. We'll speak to Too Tall about it Sat morning and see what can be done. Thanks again
