  1. Will there even be much in the way of venue staff? It's not so much in the way of private property that can be locked up like Earls Court. I know there will be only the one main queue this year with all entry tickets being pre sold I am just concerned that venue staff/security will not have a clue how to organise this as witnessed in previous years. I posted earlier about the Stan Lee situation from last year (having to climb onto a disabled ramp!) and while I appreciate this is a different venue I just feel a presence of crew alongside venue staff outside before the event could allay any potential issues.
  2. So Showmasters any word on crew presence outside the venue before opening? Still kinda worried about being left in the hands of venue staff.
  3. I am really excited about this years event as there are several guests I have wanted to meet for a long time. There are just a few small things I would like Showmasters to address and at least acknowledge. I know the venue is different this year but last year on Saturday morning the venue staff had no clue about where people should queue. We joined the Stan Lee queue just before 7am and eventually the member of staff for the venue made us all get onto the disabled access ramp which entailed climbing between a low concrete wall and the metal hand barrier or trying to climb over the top of it. Will Showmasters ensure there is a heavier crew presence alongside the venue staff outside before doors open? Also last year was not helped by people using the queueing area for photoshoots as places to sit down and chill out. Now I totally understand why as it was so busy. Will the areas where we queue for shoots use tensa barriers instead of the tape on the floor? This would be a simple way to to ensure the area is being used for its intended purpose. Places to chill out. Everyone needs some time to just relax especially with the huge crowds and the heat (please let Olympia be cooler than Earl's Court) so will there be dedicated areas for this purpose?
  4. Met her at Entertainment Media Show back in 2012, lovely lady and very nice to chat with.
  5. Been watching a lot of Star Trek recently and Silent Hill just the other night, think she will be getting added to my autograph collection :)
  6. Amy Jo seems to be very busy with directing her own movies, hopefully she will appear at a convention one day but I would also hope people support her in what she is doing now.
  7. Amazing! Will add him to my Dawn of the Dead Blu ray which is already signed by Ken Foree and George Romero.
  8. Showmasters I absolutely love you! Have wanted to meet her for so long! The best Doctor Who companion of the modern era and the only one missing (also from the modern era) from my collection! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  9. Brzil is one of my top ten films of all time so am really happy at this announcement.
  10. The not selling on the day tickets is definitely a step in the right direction after the overcrowding of last year so in those terms getting bigger is fine as long as the venue is able to cope. As for guests it maybe unfortunate that we can not afford to meet everyone we would like (I know I can't) but better to have the choice than not at all. Plus if some of the new big names enjoy themselves they may come back for future events. A few years ago would anyone have expected Gillan Anderson to do LFCC and then Collectormania, so I say the more big guests the better.
  11. Amazing guest! I love the first two Turtles movies. Thank you Showmasters :)
  12. Kylie was in San Andreas! We should be so lucky. Lucky Lucky Lucky I'm sorry, couldn't resist!
  13. You're right! An audience with Arnie event happened last year and a ticket was over £200!And to actually meet him cost far more than that! I was lucky enough to meet Arnold at his book singing a few years ago. Was a five and a half hour wait to meet him for a few moments but it was worth it! His autograph is the favourite of my collection.
  14. When he has been knocked out in Blackadder goes Fourth "Don't slouch Darling" Gets me everytime
  15. Was just watching his appearance in Doctor Who a few days ago :)
  16. I guess maybe some people saw that picture and possibly read to much into it. Regardless if he is in costume or not I am still incredibly excited to meet him and so happy that Showmasters managed to get him so thanks to you and the rest of the team :)
  17. There was a picture on his facebook fan page with him holding the Green Ranger and White Ranger helmets advertising LFCC but that is all I have seen (I don't use twitter so not sure if anything has been posted there). Here is a link to the facebook picture https://www.facebook.com/jasondfrank/photos/pb.270759951686.-2207520000.1434356470./10152977082311687/?type=3&theater
  18. I'm stuck as to what to get him to sign! Still have the original Mirage Comics issues so thinking maybe one of those.
  19. Agreed about having the photoshoots upstairs, that was a great idea.
  20. I was gutted to see it was back on the concourse this year, I'm not one to use the word hate very often but man I hate that concourse with a vengeance. The bottle necking is just ridiculous and the weather is always terrible which adds to a genuinely miserable feeling when stuck around loads of other people. On the other hand the guests I met were all fantastic. Sports and media I had great experiences. Special mention to Arsenal legend Ian Wright, Blake Foster and Nakia Burrise from Power Rangers who were all super friendly and great to talk to, I managed to get a few moments with Stuart Pearce, Peter Beardsley over in the sports area too and both were great. Has there been any official word as to why the concourse was used? I was hoping we had seen the back of it forever.
