  1. Yeah me too, train home drooling over my 10 seconds with Benedict, Andrew and Rupert!! Posting badly taken camera phone pictures of the photos to Facebook and generally being grumpy that I'll have to go back to work!!!
  2. Just to cheer you up this time next week it will all be over and we will all be experiencing the dreaded convention blues
  3. I've even been to hotel based cons where there are clashes not huge long ones mind you but definitely clashes where you have to leave a talk have your picture taken and then head back to the talk lol
  4. Just out of curiosity has anyone actually been to a convention if this size where there were NO clashes ever??? In my experience of convention going the only ones where there have been no clashes are the ones that only have 3-4 guests and by that very nature people are still unhappy, they get no clashes but they complain there aren't enough guests! The best thing is not to panic, the crew at these events are very helpful and organised, I know from experience of having clashes at events they will know which queue is going to move quickest and point you in the right direction! I have one teeny question though will there be large screens in the talks so that the people in the back will be able to see well?
  5. My thoughts exactly, my grandad bless him always used to say to me " make sure you live life as there are no pockets in shrouds" and it is something I adhere to a lot these days, i work hard for my money so I'm going to spend it on something lasting and very memorable that will provide me with tales to tell!!
  6. For me the mere chance of meeting Michael, however fleeting, is worth far more to me than an autograph. I understand completely that not everyone likes having their picture taken, I'm one of them, but I generally prefer photos to autographs, for me it's more proof that I've met that person and longer lasting. However if the only way to get him here is to limit autographs then so be it, the man is not well when all said and done so the fact that he's giving up 3 days of his precious time to spend it with his fans is truly remarkable and I am very grateful to him for doing so. I do agree with Jason if people want the diamond pass that much then they will do what it takes to get it, I was thankful that I could just get the photo and entry as currently he is the only guest I'm going for, but I'm happy to meander around stalls and see who and what else is going on, it'll be nice to do an LFCC in such a relaxed manner for a change!!
  7. It's the same as at other shows. If you have two tickets you can get both done when you line up the first time. Thanks
  8. How does this affect the gold package or does it not?
  9. Ok so I'm in gold group d and I have bought an extra Benedict photo sooooo do I have to get these separately when each one is called or can I get my batch one with my gold one if that makes sense?! I can't even begin to start to get my head round the scheduling at the moment!!
  10. I think that so long as you can keep offering a certain amount of photo shoots for that guest as well then you'll do very well, as I have to admit I nearly cried when I saw how much it was going to cost me to meet MJF until I saw through my tears that there was this option too. So with credit card in hand I've booked my entry ticket and photo with him and am looking forward to my 10-15 seconds with him. Diamond passes are great for the people who can afford them and know their budgets but I like the fact that currently we less rich folk can still meet our idols, keep that up and you'll be golden!!!
  11. Yay! A fellow Sheffielder! Im also a fellow Sheffielder lo :) I'm only from a few miles down the road in Chesterfield but have worked in Sheffield for the last 9 years so know it very well, Hi
  12. To put the £85 photo shoot cost into perspective, when Sylvester Stallone appeared in Sheffield last year he was charging £500 for a photo with him. That's without the entry ticket too. Yep and that was one of those ''An evening with'' types of things and from what I remember that wasn't cheap either something like £45-£50 a ticket.
  13. There are no early Bird Tickets, it is all standard entry now. only people that go in a tad earlier are the Gold and Diamonds as far as I know. Thanks, this makes me feel a little better right now!!
  14. The site along with a couple of brains. Yep mine was one of them, especially when it crashed and said sold out and then became available!! I have been dying to meet this guy for years but never ever ever thought it would become a reality what with the health issues etc but I am beyond ecstatic and am very much looking forward to my 10-15 seconds with him!!
  15. I shall be meeting him for just every single thing that he has been in!!! There is some proper fangirling going on over in this house right now!!

  17. I have no words for the love I feel right now, this man has been one of my biggest crushes since I was 8 in 1985!!! However in my stressy panic to buy tickets I think I've bought standard entry tickets as I probably didn't look closely enough for any early bird ones, if the photo shoot is at a time before my ticket lets me in will they still let me through or do I pay the difference if there is one? Hope that makes sense I'm literally still shaking right now
  18. Oooh Firefly reference!! Still miss that show 😥
  19. It's because we're all so polite and I love it, it's absolutely infuriating when you leave Britain and there are no queues or more specifically it's full of people who don't know how to queue and feel it's their god given right to just shove in anywhere regardless of how long someone has been standing there! Or even worse when said types come here and don't respect the British queuing system, I've had some baaaaaad experiences at cons with people who can't and won't queue properly! Respect the queue people 🇬🇧
  20. There's usually a table just as you go in for you leave your stuff and they move it down, conveyor belt style, for you to pick up at the end after you've collected your photo. 😃
  21. Probably my Sherlock chronicles book although I guess I'll have to live without BCs auto in it!! <sigh>
  22. Wow for your first convention you're starting big, my first convention was ever so small and now this one will be I think either 24th or 25th once you start you'll get hooked!! Just remember to breathe and enjoy every moment of it as it goes so so quickly and comfy shoes for the inevitable queues 😃 You'll have a blast 😂
